Disney XD is getting elite. This week, the network announced its new original series Lab Rats: Elite Force will premiere on March 2nd.

The series is a spin-off of two of Disney XD’s most popular series, Lab Rats and Mighty Med.

Lab Rats: Elite Force will see Mighty Med’s Oliver (Jake Short) and Kaz (Bradley Steven Perry) team up with the Lab Rats teens to track down the villains who destroyed the Mighty Med hospital. The series comes from Lab Rats creators Chris Peterson and Bryan Moore.

Merging the two popular Disney XD series “Lab Rats” and “Mighty Med,” bionics meet superpowers to form one incredible team when “Lab Rats: Elite Force” premieres WEDNESDAY, MARCH 2 (8:30-9:00 p.m. EST) on Disney XD.

“Lab Rats: Elite Force” is set in a bustling metropolis after the Mighty Med hospital is destroyed by a band of unknown super-villains. After Adam and Leo volunteer to oversee the students at Davenport’s Bionic Academy, Kaz, Oliver and Skylar join forces with Chase and Bree to form a powerful elite force that combines bionic heroes and superheroes. Together, they vow to track down the villains and keep the world safe. Booboo Stewart (“Descendants”) and Ryan Potter (“Big Hero 6”) guest star as teenage shapeshifters Roman and Riker, respectively.

The “Lab Rats: Elite Force” premiere episode will be on Video on Demand (VOD) and WATCH Disney XD, available to users on tablets, phones, set top boxes and computers, beginning Monday, February 29.

In the premiere episode “The Rise of Five,” Davenport introduces Bree and Chase to their new headquarters, a high-tech, high-rise penthouse in Centium City, and their new team members, Kaz, Oliver and Skylar. The heroes are learning to work together as a team, but when Kaz disagrees with Chase’s leadership style he sets off to find the villains on his own. Along the way he comes face to face with Roman and Riker, two shapeshifters intent on annihilating all superheroes. The team must put aside their differences and become the united force they were intended to be to defeat Roman and Riker before it’s too late.

Created and executive-produced by Chris Peterson and Bryan Moore (“That ’70s Show”), the series stars Bradley Steven Perry as Kaz, William Brent (formerly known as Billy Unger) as Chase, Jake Short as Oliver, Paris Berelc as Skylar and Kelli Berglund as Bree.
