Person of Interest: Season Two Ratings

CBS TV show Person of Interest ratingsLast season, Person of Interest actually grew in the ratings. After looking like it was headed for cancellation, the numbers came back up and even hit a series high in March. Will the ratings keep growing or will they fall again? We’ll have to wait and see.

The second season of Person of Interest typically airs on Thursday nights at 9pm on the CBS network. The cast includes Jim Caviezel, Michael Emerson, Kevin Chapman, and Taraji P. Henson.

Below are the TV show’s ratings for the 2012-13 season, the best way to tell if Person of Interest is going to be cancelled or renewed for season three.

Final season averages: 2.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 13.16 million total viewers.

Compared to its series premiere a year ago, the show was down by 7% in the demo (vs a 3.1 rating) but up by 8% in viewers (vs 13.33 million). This was Person of Interest’s best demo since April and best viewership since late March.


Reference point: The first season of Person of Interest averaged a 2.9 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 13.31 million viewers.

Note: These ratings are collected by the Nielsen company and are the final national numbers. These are different from the fast affiliate numbers which are just estimates of the actual ratings and are reported on by most other outlets. The final nationals are typically released within 24 hours of the programming or, in the case of weekends and holidays, a couple days later.

(Please read in a whispering voice) It is one of my favorite shows. I enjoy the chemistry and the storylines each week. The fight scenes are well done.

POI is the best show. I started from day 1 and can’t wait for Thursday night. Even the repeats are worth watching. Excellent cast and writing. So glad it was renewed.

My husband and I just started watching Person of Interest this season and we really like it. A great chemistry of cast. Please keep it. Love the suspense of the show every week.

I just started watching this show . I now have seen the last 3 episodes & I can’t wait for more. So I ordered season 1 on DVD through Amazon. I Vote to keep PERSON of INTEREST on the air. A VERY GOOD SHOW !!!

Renew! I agree with Jane T – lose the reality shows and KEEP Person of Interest! It has a unique angle on crime that no other show has. Please let us keep something great to watch besides mindless TV!

Renew Person of Interest. Great writing, interesting characters. So far above the reality shows, dance contests and singing contests that infest TV airwaves.

Please do not cancel Person Of Interest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is one of the best on t.v. today, from the acting to the intire concept of the show. How refreshing for people working together to save people instead of killing them. Thank you
