The Assets: ABC TV Show Ratings

The Assets on ABC ratingsIt appears that ABC intends for The Assets to be a mini-series with just eight episodes. But, if the show is a big hit in the ratings, can a second season be far behind? What will happen? Stay tuned!

The Assets revolves around the real life events of CIA counter-intelligence officers Sandy Grimes (Jodie Whittaker) and Jeanne Vertefeuille (Harriet Walter) and their search for the most notorious traitor in US History, Aldrich Ames (Paul Rhys). Others in the cast include Stuart Milligan, Julian Ovenden, Christina Cole, and Ralph Brown.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.

They cancelled this in lieu of Mistresses reruns, which is now performing significantly worse in both the demo and total audience than The Assets. This week, Mistresses could barely muster .95 million viewers; The Assets never even got close to being that low. What was ABC thinking?
