Hallmark Channel has renewed their original period drama When Calls the Heart for a third season.
On the historical drama When Calls the Heart, Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow) is a young teacher who’s been accustomed to high society life. Her life changes dramatically when she receives her first classroom assignment in a small coal mining town. The cast also includes Daniel Lissing, Lori Loughlin, Chelah Horsdal, Mitchell Kummen, Gracyn Shinyei, and Martin Cummins.
The cable channel has ordered 10 episodes and a two-hour Christmas movie that will run in December. The remaining hours will begin airing in February 2016.
