After a year away, 2 Broke Girls is back on Monday nights. The CBS series’ ratings dropped once again in season five but the network renewed it anyway. Will this be the final season? Will the show be cancelled or renewed for a seventh season? Stay tuned.
On 2 Broke Girls, streetwise Max Black (Kat Dennings) and formerly-wealthy Caroline Channing (Beth Behrs) work in a greasy diner (which they now partially own). The unlikely partners try to earn enough money to pay their bills and continue to develop their cupcake business. The sitcom co-stars Garrett Morris, Jonathan Kite, Matthew Moy, and Jennifer Coolidge.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
4/18 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
For comparisons: The fifth season of 2 Broke Girls averaged a 1.61 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.42 million total viewers (live + same day ratings).
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you still like the 2 Broke Girls TV series on CBS? Do you think there should be a season seven?
5/12 update: 2 Broke Girls has been cancelled by CBS. Details here.
I think it’s over for them it was good but there is only so much u can do and it’s time they stopped…
I agree with you Amy. Thing is it is a simplistic sitcom that is rather predictable in plot and outcome. Max’s sarcasm and coarseness is the main humor it seems and it just got old. Thing is the sarcasm is the only thing that distinguishes it from a standard sitcom.
My husband and I love this show please keep it going Max,Caroline and the gang are great laugh outloud entertainment in a world full of stupid reality tv.
I worst sitcom ever, by far!!! Stupid forced dialog and even worse acting. Tbe humor sucks and is so predictable, cancel this bad show and put us all out their misery!@

2 broke girls is the best sitcom on tv; the entire cast is fantastic& the girls have great comic timing–modern day Lucy! the show shos a true non-traditional family; they may poke fun, but when the chips are down, they support each other. LOVE Sophie! Thisseries needs to run 12 years! I even laugh all over again at the reruns. And the kosher cupcakes–comedy gold!!!!! The gay waiter they sed to have and Big Mary–classic. Theseries always has great guest characters–Nash…Candy Andy…the pizzashop people last season…and Max’s lawyer (woof!)
