This evening marks the last episode of A Gifted Man of the season. Will the TV show be back for a second season or will it be cancelled by CBS?
A Gifted Man follows the life of Michael Holt (Patrick Wilson), a talented but selfish surgeon who begins to change his point of view after being visited by the spirit of his deceased ex-wife. The cast also includes Jennifer Ehle, Margo Martindale, Liam Aiken, Julie Benz, Pablo Schreiber, Rachelle Lefevre, Afton Williamson, Eriq La Salle, and Mike Doyle.
The show premiered in September to a disappointing 1.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 9.45 million total viewers. Week two saw Gifted Man drop to a 1.2 in the demo and 8.18 million. The numbers stayed at those levels for several weeks but then perked up to a 1.3 in the demo. Rather than give the series a full season order, CBS added just three installments.

Last month, CBS moved the show to 9pm. The time change seemed to help the first week but last Friday’s installment dropped back to the usual 1.3 demo rating. Undercover Boss, which took over the 8pm timeslot, has been doing significantly better than the drama.
The season to date has a 1.3 demo average with 8.50 million total viewers. It’s CBS’ weakest drama in both the demographic and total viewers, even when you adjust for the Friday night timeslot. To put things in perspective, Medium was cancelled with a 1.4 demo average.
If A Gifted Man was on NBC, the network would no doubt be considering a renewal. That’s not the case of course. CBS has the largest number of successful shows and, for whatever reason, A Gifted Man just didn’t find a big enough audience. It’s sure to be cancelled sometime between now and May.

MENTALIST, MIKE & MOLLY, CSI (PLEASE CANCELL THESE SERIES ) AND SOME REALIST T.V. SERIES.
Please do not cancel this show! It is the best. CBS will making a big, big. big mistake.
Another great series bites the dust. More and more reality junk. Network TV is dumbed down to the American public.
I am so upset to learn about the low ratings of a gifted man. I absolutely love the show and watch it faithfully every week. As far as my other favorite show unforgetable I am saddened to see the low ratings on that series as well. I think if we all push for these shows to stay we can keep them on the air. Let’s pull together everyone!
I would be really disappointed to see A Gifted Man cancelled. This is one of my favorite shows, and I have truely looked forward to watching it each week.
Give Gifted Man another chance but enough already with the compulsive life-saving tricks of Michael Holt every 2 minutes. Can’t he just go for a jog without having to resuscitate or perform surgery on someone? The actors are good; the writing needs to notch it up! Don’t cancel it!
A Gifted Man is the only show I actually watch on Friday night. If it is cancelled there will be nothing worth watching on Fridays. Why is it that all of the good shows seem to be cancelled and the only choices the viewers are left with are stupid reality shows?
I’m from argentina and I watch the show. I like it very much and I watch every single episode. The cast is amazing and every episode has a new and non obvious ending. I’m a really american tv series fan, so I would like to keep watching this new show. Please consider giving them another season, perhaps airing the show another day or time.
Since the days of TGIF their has never been a rating bonaza show. Goast Whisper and Flashpoint did allright. The gifted man is a decent show if you have been folling it but maybe they will cancel it to make room for another reality show because will need more of them.
Oh come on!. It is an excellent drama based on a critical analysis of medical cases with high-throughput technology plus a fantastic love history. The cast are amazing with a very profesional performance. In europe the serie is highly ranked. Please, must be consider a second season.

Don’t let A Gifted Man die. Patrick Wayne is hot, talented, and perfect for the difficult role of arrogant, self-centered, successful physician combined with caring, vulnerable, and appealing character in clinic. Love him.
I really enjoyed The Gifted Man, I will be disappointed if another intelligent T.V program is cancelled.
A gifted Man is the only tv show my husband and I look forward to watching. I don’t understand why a program with such a deep message always gets the shaft. Maybe it’s because the respondents polled are shallow.
I enjoy watching an intelligent drama like A Gifted Man. Patrick Wilson and supporting cast are excellent. I wish CBS would consider giving them another chance. I can’t stand the reality shows (but do like Dancing with the Stars) and refuse to spend energy watching them.
