The Alpha House TV show on Amazon is effectively cancelled, but at yesterday’s TCA press session, Amazon Studio boss Roy Price chose to categorize it as not being a “current” show. That said, there is a chance Garry Trudeau’s Capitol Hill comedy, starring John Goodman, could be renewed for a third season. Matt Malloy, Clark Johnson, Mark Consuelos, Yara Martinez, Julie White, and Alicia Sable, also star.
Should political events inspire another season, assuming the cast and crew were available, Alpha House could return one day in the hazy future. “I like to leave my options open, but I understand what you’re saying,” Deadline reports Price said, in response to critics’ frustration about Alpha House‘s nebulous status.
The second season of Alpha House premiered on Amazon on Friday, October 24, 2014. In January of this year, we reported that Price had met with Trudeau, but that the fate of Alpha House season three still needed to be resolved.

Oh no! We just got to that last show, and we were checking when season 3 would start! Why do they always cancel shows just as they gain an audience? It actually shows Americans how bipartisan politics could work, and we get to laugh as a bonus – bring it back,Please!

I loved the show. I think it gives very lighthearted look into republican politics and helps drain away the vitriol that has invaded our partisan political divide. I mean regardless of some of the deplorable policy positions republicans have somehow it all seems easier to forgive when you realize that many of them are probably just like these characters just stuck in thinking of a party that is bigger than they are and punishes them for not adhere the club mentality. What an awesome show!! I’ve been struggling with depression and taking meds while going to therapy, at the end of the day this show is what helped me take the edge off and feel “happier”!! Please bring it Back!! I looked forward to coming home and watching it every day since I discovered it. It would be a blessing for a 3rd season…and more!! Make 8 seasons!!! It’s that good and worth it!! Thank you!
Good show! One of the best on Amazon! The actors coalesced into a very nice great in Season 2 and the subtle audio gags and caricatures presented provided for a too-rare lighthearted look at the senate ‘country club’…… You guys need to bring this one back if the cast consents…..

Surely current changes in US politics makes a satire such as Alpha House ripe for four more seasons over the next four years. Best TV show on the internet. Can’t believe it’s not been back for season 3 yet…
I have loved Alpha House from the first minutes, theme song and the fantastic acting of the main characters. The writing is funny and the plots are interesting. I wanted it to go on for years. Please bring it back, my brain needs something interesting to watch
I have never, ever, ever petitioned for a tv show, but please bring this back. I’m a hide amazon consumer and I never knew of this shows existence. With actual marketing this could be a huge hit.
