The Alpha House TV show on Amazon is effectively cancelled, but at yesterday’s TCA press session, Amazon Studio boss Roy Price chose to categorize it as not being a “current” show. That said, there is a chance Garry Trudeau’s Capitol Hill comedy, starring John Goodman, could be renewed for a third season. Matt Malloy, Clark Johnson, Mark Consuelos, Yara Martinez, Julie White, and Alicia Sable, also star.
Should political events inspire another season, assuming the cast and crew were available, Alpha House could return one day in the hazy future. “I like to leave my options open, but I understand what you’re saying,” Deadline reports Price said, in response to critics’ frustration about Alpha House‘s nebulous status.
The second season of Alpha House premiered on Amazon on Friday, October 24, 2014. In January of this year, we reported that Price had met with Trudeau, but that the fate of Alpha House season three still needed to be resolved.

I like the show & im disappointed that it’s not returning for a 3rd season. I especially like the Mormon twist & the wife & daughter of Louis!
Alpha House has by far been my favorite show on Amazon Prime. I really hope they have at least a 3rd season. The end of series 2 was just too good to be left hanging like that.

Politically brilliant, socially relevant and entertaining. How many shows clogging our airwaves can say the same. I’ve rewatched seasons 1&2 several times. Please give us one more season.
Wish I had watched this show earlier so that maybe it wouldn’t have been canceled! So GOOD. And would be so popular right now. The country needs more Alpha House! Bring it back!

This is the funniest show I’ve seen in a long time. And, I rarely watch television. PLEASE bring it back!!! We just started watching Amazon shows this year. After it had already been cancelled. Your audience is still being built. If you started in limited, you missed a HUGE audience.
The characters are likable even with their imperfections. The writing is sharp, witty, without degrading to base humor. We NEED this show and its warm humor. I can not fathom why you would cancel it.
