TV show description:
A high-tech police drama series, APB is inspired by a New York Times Magazine article by David Amsden.
The Chicago Police Department is spiraling out of control thanks to high crime, officer-involved shootings, cover-ups, corruption, and under-funding. Billionaire engineer Gideon Reeves (Justin Kirk) wants to change all that. After his best friend is murdered in a botched robbery attempt, the killer remains at large and Reeves demands justice.
Putting up millions of dollars of his own money, he makes an unprecedented deal to take charge of the troubled 13th District. He wants to reboot it as a technically innovative police force. With Gideon himself having created the department’s cutting-edge technology, this eccentric yet brilliant outsider challenges the city’s police force to rethink everything about the way they fight crime.
But the near-overnight transition to becoming the city’s most advanced police district isn’t easy. Gideon knows that, if he’s going to change anything, he needs help. He finds this help in Detective Theresa Murphy (Natalie Martinez). She’s an ambitious, street-smart cop who’s willing to give Reeves’ technological changes a chance.
Skeptical Captain Ned Conrad (Ernie Hudson), Officer Nicholas Brandt (Taylor Handley), and Officer Tasha Goss (Tamberla Perry) are going to be a bit harder to convince.
With the help of Reeves’ gifted tech officer, Ada Hamilton (Caitlin Stasey), Reeves and Murphy embark on a mission to turn the 13th District into a dedicated crime-fighting force of the 21st century.
Episode #12 — Ricochet
When Gideon is blamed for recent terrorist attacks, he and Captain Conrad work fast to track down the real culprit. But Gideon finds himself in a predicament when Danny continues to use his technological skills to disrupt the city, leaving Murphy, Ada and the rest of the squad struggling to find a way to stop him. Discover who makes it out alive.
First aired: April 24, 2017.
What do you think? Do you like the APB TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for a second season?
Like this show. Hope it is renewed
Both wife and I like this new show hope it gets renewed.
I love this show ,please renew it.
I love the genre, don’t like the lead actor that plays the billionaire, he’s not believable
Love it–action and intelligence in one show!
fair to midland. don’t hate it/don’t love it
ITS SO AMAZING I FREAKING LOVE IT
The most noticeable thing for me is the lack of chemistry among the actors. It doesn’t have the same “magic” in the cast as Lucifer. It’s interesting that this series shows how high tech can be used in police work but I think “Person of Interest” did it better. “APB” is too similar to “CSI: Cyber” for me.
That being said FOX sure loves police procedurals.
APB is like Person of Interest meets RoboCop.
Love the show! The whole family watches it together. Keep it going.
APB is awesome!! My husband and I look forward to watching it and really believe a lot our future generation will be like this! MUST KEEP!
This is the future we have to keep the show on
My sister and I both like the show and would to see it continue.
I was in until they maimed the dog in the car explosion. Literally disabled all interest for me.
I like the show. I Want to see more.
I love the APB. Very interesting about the tech and how the police Dept. in Chicago are not used to it. We want to watch what surprises bring this show.
A show with a storyline, how original. Tired of the REALITY shows, so phony. Finally a show with a hero, female interest and chemistry. Not enough like this show.
