CBS has had mixed success with their new crime dramas this season. NCIS: New Orleans has been renewed for a second season while Stalker has been dropped from the schedule and may likely be cancelled. What will happen to Battle Creek? Stay tuned.
Battle Creek revolves around two mismatched law enforcement officers — Detective Russ Agnew (Dean Winters) and FBI Special Agent Milton Chamberlain (Josh Duhamel) — who have polar opposite views of the world and end up being partners. The rest of the cast includes Janet McTeer, Kal Penn, Aubrey Dollar, and Edward Fordham Jr.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/8 update: CBS has cancelled the Battle Creek series midway through its first season.
Final season averages: 0.75 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.12 million total viewers.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Battle Creek TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
give it time I think Vince is a great writer and his show should be moved to a different time slot. I find it to be very funny and great charectors
Great show- up there with Maximum Bob & Good Guys. Which means a GREAT SHOW that gets dumped.
It’s wierd that a few sides of the normal cynicism regarding these things let their guard down for a few episodes at least.
Be nice if it lasted…..
I love it too! Please advertise it more! The quirky characters, the great character development and the unique story line without the coarse horrific violence that is so prevalent as the only theme that seems to be available is a crying shame! I mean so many people are turning off their televisions because of the same old baloney this is a quality show and if you want another hit like HOUSE KEEP IT ON FOR ANOTHER SEASON. ALL THE HYPER ACTIVE EXECUTIVES NEED TO REALIZE SOME OF US OUT HERE ARE ADULTS AND NEED QUALITY NOT DRIVE BY SHOW MENTALITY.… Read more »
I think it is a unique, well written DIFFERENT THEN the CSI SERIES. I REALLY LOOK FORWARD TO SOMETHING DIFFERENT YET QUIRKY. If you like quirky, tongue in cheek humor that is well acted you will love this unique show or if you like a lot of the same ole same ole formulas the you will not like it. I think it is high quality in acting, script, and plot.
Please do not cancel Battle Creek. I really do like it.
I love this show. Nothing can survive the roller coaster Sunday Night schedule! Move it…
I watched 5 minutes of the first show and that’s all I’ll ever watch. It’s just not interesting.
I love this show. Battlecreek is very entertaing. . I cant believe before the second show even aired, they are thinking of canceling it. Its disgusting that if a show isnt violent and vulgar with a lot of sec invlolved, the networks cancel. There are alot of us that like good shows which the networks cancel. I am tired of getting into a show only to have it taken off the air before its given a chance. there is now way after only show that you can say its not good. at lesst give it a chance. PLEASE DONT CANCEL BATTLECREEK
I must have been looking for something good and was very disappointed. Everything seemed forced. I found nothing humorous about the show nor did I see anything exciting. I plan on giving it one more shot and then canceling it from my DVR.
I’m quite disappointed! This was nothing like I had expected; it was considerably boring and lacked creativity, good writing, and a point! The only reason I watched the full hour was Josh Duhamel! I wanted him to be in something great, sadly, this show is not!
I agree Samara…. this was so boring I had to try to stay awake!!! Just awful… I was hoping for much better. I’ll be shocked if it makes it past episode 2.
My husband and I were looking forward to BattleCreek coming back for another season. We enjoyed the story line, the characters were excellent and so different from all the reality, violence and sex that has filled the airways. Pure family entertainment and heartfelt feelings.. This is what we need more of.
I, too, was disappointed. I like Josh, so I’ll give it another episode or two. In this, he reminds of a great-looking Raylan Givens. Nice to see “Dewey Crowe” with a job now!
no need to watch. this is a filler/throw away / burn off show. why else would it premier Sun at 10 pm? since nothing is absolute, I give it a 99 percent chance of being canceled.
I’ll give it one more episode but I’m not holding out much hope it will be good. Disappointing since I like Josh Duhamel. Just no chemistry between Russ and Milt and there really is nothing really different about it. I now know why it got the Sunday at 10 time slot.
It was good, I enjoyed it but will have to see a few more shows to decide
Great to see Josh Duhamel back on prime time TV as does Dean Winters but it looks like Battle Creek won’t last that long.
At this point I disagree. I found “Battle Creek” to be entertaining.
Would this be considered a ‘cereal’ drama. Likely not, since it didn’t have much ‘snap, crackle or pop’ to it.
lol
How could Battle Creek Michigan be portrayed as such an incompetent Police Force is truly
unbelievable. “CANCEL” terrible acting!!!! Dean Winters should go back to doing insurance commercials. JD does better in Transformers movies. “CANCEL.” Scene in Cadillac with JD driving was even realistic “CANCEL”
loved it very entertaining please don’t cancel
