CBS has had mixed success with their new crime dramas this season. NCIS: New Orleans has been renewed for a second season while Stalker has been dropped from the schedule and may likely be cancelled. What will happen to Battle Creek? Stay tuned.
Battle Creek revolves around two mismatched law enforcement officers — Detective Russ Agnew (Dean Winters) and FBI Special Agent Milton Chamberlain (Josh Duhamel) — who have polar opposite views of the world and end up being partners. The rest of the cast includes Janet McTeer, Kal Penn, Aubrey Dollar, and Edward Fordham Jr.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/8 update: CBS has cancelled the Battle Creek series midway through its first season.
Final season averages: 0.75 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.12 million total viewers.

Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Battle Creek TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I LOVE Battle Creek, it’s innovative, funny, no loose ends like other murder mysteries.
Whomever makes the decision to cancel should be fired!
I like two series on TV
. Blue Bloods and Battle Creek. Battle Creek is so new, so refreshing! Serious plots yet great humor. So different from anything else on TV. Why cancel? Give it a chance for folks to find this program! My husband, daughter and I love Battle Creek!! Please re-think your decision and keep this fabulous series on TV!
After a somewhat “slow” start, Battle Creek grew on me and it, indeed, continues to get better. I certainly don’t want to see it cancelled since I watch very few network TV hour long series as it is. I do NOT watch any of the CSI, Criminal Minds, etc crap, and never have. I don’t care if people think it’s “cutting edge” forensic TV. None of those shows have any appeal to me. I do watch The Good Wife, and have since the beginning; it’s the best TV drama on the air. That’s pretty much it for on CBS, aside… Read more »
I liked Battle Creek very much and wish that the series would have been renewed. I liked Hawaii 5 o also, blue blood. I do not care for the comedy shows.
CBS is truely making a mistake caneling Battle Creek. This show has legs and will get stronger each season, which from my understanding is the real money makers in tv today. Great cast, great storyline, and great chemistry between cast characters! Hopefully they are at least smart enough to sale the show to another network, but I doubt it.,this is CBS we’re talking about. If Vince still has control of the direction of the show, maybe he’ll bring it to AMC!
When it comes to Battle Creek, just another case of Les Moonvez with his head up his butt.
Sometime polls are wrong. This is a very entertaining show. Many of the people that I golf with watch it and agree with me.
hi: we can’t believe your not renewing this show,WE LOVE IT.putting it up against revenge was a harse test.please keep it on,martin Barbara Haubrich palmyra,pa
Please, please, please DON’T CANCEL Battle Creek. Don’t know when I’ve enjoyed a show more!!!! I always make time for this one!!
LOVE THIS SHOW, OMG NOT CANCELLED… ONE OF THE BEST WRITTEN FUNNIEST COP SHOW ON TV… GREAT WRITING, GREAT ACTING!! LOVE IT!!
Everyone I know loves Battle Creek. Many just haven’t seen it because of time slot. It’s so unique. Many of us don’t like inane comedies or gory drama. Battle Creek is funny, witty, and different. Please KEEP
We love Battle Creek!! It is a shame networks look at the 18-49 demographics to determine whether a great show like Battle Creek will succeed or not. We are not in that age range and therefore appreciate witty, clever, and well written TV shows like Battle Creek. We wish CBS would reconsider and renew Battle Creek for a second season!!! Too many great series have been cancelled in the past for series that are for the “younger” set and not very well written.
Battle Creek is terrific. CS really needs to reconsider…..
I really think battle creek is a cute show..I love dean winters. I live near battle creek michigan, and seeing scenes in and around BC, is great.
I sincerely hope it is not cancelled ,as I look forward to it every Sunday nite.
PLEASE CBS! Don’t do this to me!!!!!!.
Thank you
I posted before about how stupid CBS is to take Battle Creek off the air when they leave crap on like Criminal Minds, CSI (anywhere) and a half a dozen of their insipid comedy shows. This is Vince Gilligan. Can anyone say “Breaking Bad”? Guess that is why networks cannot compete with cable. Dumb and dumber.
I totally agree! CSI:Cyber is just dumb and yet something witty like Battle Creek comes along and it’s cancelled. Switch it to cable and I’ll keep watching. Battle Creek is too smart for the simple minds that kept 2 and a half men way way past its time.
