CBS has had mixed success with their new crime dramas this season. NCIS: New Orleans has been renewed for a second season while Stalker has been dropped from the schedule and may likely be cancelled. What will happen to Battle Creek? Stay tuned.
Battle Creek revolves around two mismatched law enforcement officers — Detective Russ Agnew (Dean Winters) and FBI Special Agent Milton Chamberlain (Josh Duhamel) — who have polar opposite views of the world and end up being partners. The rest of the cast includes Janet McTeer, Kal Penn, Aubrey Dollar, and Edward Fordham Jr.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/8 update: CBS has cancelled the Battle Creek series midway through its first season.
Final season averages: 0.75 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.12 million total viewers.

Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Battle Creek TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
PLEASE DONT CANCEL “BATTLECREEK”!!!!!! It is fun and unique from all the other cop shows on TV!!!
I cannot believe that Battle Creek is being cancelled! If CBS wants to have viewers tune in to their station, why in the world would they cancel one of the best new shows!!!! In talking to friends, everyone I know has been watching! The relationship between Milt and Russ is both fun and unique! Finally a cop show that stands out from all the rest, and they are canceling it? Bad Decision!!!!!!!
I love this program. It is funny but has a story. everytime a decent program comes on, it is cancelled . not enough violance.
It took a couple shows in before I got hooked. Bring it back for next season.
Keep the show. I love it. One of the BEST shows on tv
I like it.
I really like this series and I hope it will continue
Battle Creek is a great show. Started out slow but really has picked up with character development, and caught our interest. I think canceling before second season wrong thing to do.
This is one of my favorite shows. The entire cast is great.
its great keep it on the air
I am so disappointed in the network for cancelling Battle Creek. Such a smart show deserves time when there is so much garbage on. It is so well written and perfectly cast. I hope all fans rally to keep this show alive. Come on Netflix or Amazon or any cable network, pick it up!

Such a fun show. It’s a shame the network wouldn’t give it more time. Love the cast and the story line.
I wrote to CBS re my disappointment in their cancelling Battle Creek. I found it refreshing, with interesting characters, cases and relationships. It’s not slick, and it’s not “easy”- meaning the cases aren’t black and white, and the characters’ relationships are sometimes awkward and messy – as in real life. I looked forward to seeing how the relationships would progress, but it doesn’t look like we’ll get that opportunity.
Keep it on the air. Best show
I can’t believe they canceled it! I only found out about this show a couple days ago and after watching an episode of it I’ve fallen in love with it. This is a great show. They really need to at least give it another season before deciding to get rid of it.
Give this show another chance! PLEASE! Great character development which its loyal fans would like to see further developed. I recall when “Cheers” premiered back in the 80’s, it got off to a very slow start. While the critics and I instantly loved it, the rest of America wasn’t quite as impressed. Thankfully the network didn’t give up on the show and the viewing audience soon hopped on the “Cheers” bandwagon. I’d like to see the CBS execs do the same for “Battlecreek.” And if not, let’s hope another network picks up this show that is so worthy of season… Read more »
