CBS has had mixed success with their new crime dramas this season. NCIS: New Orleans has been renewed for a second season while Stalker has been dropped from the schedule and may likely be cancelled. What will happen to Battle Creek? Stay tuned.
Battle Creek revolves around two mismatched law enforcement officers — Detective Russ Agnew (Dean Winters) and FBI Special Agent Milton Chamberlain (Josh Duhamel) — who have polar opposite views of the world and end up being partners. The rest of the cast includes Janet McTeer, Kal Penn, Aubrey Dollar, and Edward Fordham Jr.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/8 update: CBS has cancelled the Battle Creek series midway through its first season.
Final season averages: 0.75 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.12 million total viewers.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Battle Creek TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I love Battle Creek. It is the only show I watch.
My husband and I love Battle Creek. We look forward to watching it every Sunday. The cast is phenomenal. Funny, suspenseful…so sad it was canceled.
That’s funny… We were watching this show a few weeks ago (we never miss an episode) and remarked on the fact that it’s so good, it’s bound to get cancelled….. Sure enough! Bring back Mayhem,
Puh-LEEEEEEEEASE!!!!!!
That’s a joke at our house. If it’s a first season show and we like it, it will get cancelled. And they always do. I told my wife, let’s skip the first year, if it’s good, we can watch the first season on netflix..Then the second with our tv..funny…
LOVE this SHOW !!!! Give it another season!!! Great writing and characters!!
Love this show! It’s fun and entertaining. The characters are well developed and the story lines are fun to try and figure out. Move it to another night, but don’t cancel it.
I just found out you were cancelling Battle Creek, PLEASE give it at least one more season!
Please some one pick this show up! CBS’ s loss some other networks gain! It quickly became my favorite show. Way more interesting then shows like NCIS LA.
Battle creek is funny and refreshing.great chemistry . Best new cop show. please don’t take it off.
Love Battle Creek!!! Please try one more season.
Please continue Battle Creek 🙂
I don’t watch much television because the vast majority of it is crap. I admit I only watched this initially because I was born in Battle Creek, but this is excellent television!
What a shame. Russ and Milt finally meshed in the latter part of the season. It had great potential and needed another season to pull in the viewers.. There are so few good shows on and now one less.
There are so many other shows that should be cancelled, but Battle Creek is NOT one of them! I really hope to see it back in the fall.
It is a mystery to me why CBS would even consider canx ‘Battle Creek’. this was one of the best well written and well acted series in many years. Please reconsider!!!
Battle Creek was great. You gave it a “crap” time slot – and expected it to succeed. So many stupid “reality shows” – Battle Creek was “funnyquirky/great ensemble, etc. Think about bringing it back in a better time slot. Linda Surdin –
You are so right
We love BATTLE CREEK! Please do not cancel! It’s funny, it’s different, great characters.
