CBS has had mixed success with their new crime dramas this season. NCIS: New Orleans has been renewed for a second season while Stalker has been dropped from the schedule and may likely be cancelled. What will happen to Battle Creek? Stay tuned.
Battle Creek revolves around two mismatched law enforcement officers — Detective Russ Agnew (Dean Winters) and FBI Special Agent Milton Chamberlain (Josh Duhamel) — who have polar opposite views of the world and end up being partners. The rest of the cast includes Janet McTeer, Kal Penn, Aubrey Dollar, and Edward Fordham Jr.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
5/8 update: CBS has cancelled the Battle Creek series midway through its first season.
Final season averages: 0.75 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 6.12 million total viewers.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you like the Battle Creek TV series? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I am originaly from Michigan and I really enjoyed the show and would like to see it continued!
Only thing I watch on CBS is CBS News Sunday Morning with Charles Osgood, Face The Nation with Bob Schieffer and Late Night with David Letterman, Letterman is gone, Bob Schieffer gone, and soon Charles Osgood, then I found Battle Creek, and thought this show was excellent, great writers, cast, content… WHY IN GODS GREEN EARTH WOULD YOU “CBS” CANCEL THE ONLY SHOW WORTH WATCHING? (ON CBS) JUST ANOTHER DUMB ASS DECISION FROM THE POWERS TO BE, PULL YOUR CRANIUM FROM YOUR ****** CBS!!!!!!
If pleading will help, we will plead. Battle Creek is one of the most unique and entertaining shows to come along in a long time. Please give it a chance. Let us see the rest of the season!! Too sad to say goodby so soon!!
Absolutely should be renewed. The characters are interesting and their interactions very realistic. Funny, poignant, completely enjoyable. We look forward to it every week! Please renew.
Helloo! I think the show should have been given the opportunity to develop.

Battle Creek should be renewed!
Great show! A show you can think while watching, not reality bull!
I really think this quirky unique show was not given a chance. My husband and I truly enjoyed not only the leads but all the excellent supporting actors. It would be so nice to see it given just another full season to give it a chance!
Battle Creek is an excellent TV show. It is both interesting and funny. It should definitely be renewed for another season.

we enjoyed Battle Creek and are very disappointed it was cancelled. In the series finale the characters were brought together as partners. We would certainly enjoy watching that relationship develop further.

Battle Creek is one of the best adult shows on TV! We have watched it faithfully and really hate to see it be cancelled! Please re-new it.
