NBC has had mixed luck with their ratings this season. They’ve had some successes and some failures. How does the Believe TV series measure up? Will it be cancelled or renewed for season two?
Believe revolves around a young girl with special abilities and the adults who are trying to protect her from evl forces. The cast includes Johnny Sequoyah, Jake McLaughlin, Delroy Lindo, Kyle MacLachlan, Jamie Chung, and Arian Moayed.
The show got off to a positive start on Monday, March 10th — likely thanks to having The Voice as a lead-in. The premiere drew a 2.7 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 10.56 million total viewers. It was a distant second in its timeslot, behind ABC’s The Bachelor: After the Final Rose.
The second episode, which aired in Believe’s regular Sunday night timeslot, saw the ratings drop 45% in the demo and 22% in viewership. Last week’s installment fell another 18% in the demo and 22% in viewers.
To drop to a 1.2 rating in the demo after just three episodes is a very bad sign for Believe’s future. It’s possible that the numbers could turn around and start to rise but it’s more likely that they’ll keep falling. The network needs new successful programming for their schedule and it seems clear that this isn’t it.
But, what do you think? Do you like the Believe TV show? Do you think it should be cancelled or renewed for a second season?
I so hope they keep this show!
NBC please don’t cancel Believe! Great show. Should have longer to develop
the story beyond what we’ve seen thus far.
Oh I hope Believe isn’t canceled! We love this show and look forward to Sunday
night.
I love this program… intrigue, danger and yet reaching out to help people…a real “Feel Good” show… please keep it.
Please Keep it!!! Enjoy watching every Sunday, can’t Believe NBC not bring this show back. Love Bo!!
Please keep believe on its an awesome show….
PLEASE renew Believe. It’s a wonderful series. You are making a mistake not renewing it.
Most enjoyable. Its a great show
I love the show and it should stay on.maybe another night would be better.its really getting good.
I think it should be kept… One thing TV networks should is not start moving programs around… That had been the death knoll of so many otherwise excellent shows…and to depend on the male demographic of 18-49 yr olds is really ridiculous. I really find that their buying power , other than cars, booze and designer sneakers, is way over estimated.
They would seem to be the least targeted audience to me… Just saying.
I enjoy the show. It show not be cancelled!
I liked it. NBC should have let it go one more season, at least, and cancelled some of the crappy shows.
I love this show! (Needed a different night I think.) Hmm, good people, good show and NBC decides to cancel it. Why am I not surprised?
Never in my 53 years have I ever watched drama TV shows. Those where what I called “Dad TV” I am a sitcom junkie…until Believe!!! This is such a positive show, great plot, and story line. It has a fan base, MAYBE you could consider giving it more of a chance? If only NBC would believe in Believe!
This show is not just about a girl with special skills, It’s about the people who protect her and her relationship with her father, you can’t air an episode such the 7th and then cancel the show!
The little girl actress is awesome, the father’s actor is awesome, the black guy actor too.
This shouldnt be about gettin the most rating ever, but keeping the show and make people to like it and recommend it!. (I’m sorry for my english, is quite bad)
Please dont cancel the show!
DO NOT CANCEL BELIEVE IT IS A GREAT SHOW!
