There will be no more redemption for The Blacklist: Redemption. After just one season, the spin-off from The Blacklist has been cancelled. The series wrapped its season in April.
The NBC series, which stars Ryan Eggold and Famke Janssen, started off its first season on a low note, and the series never rose any higher on a consistent basis. Season one wrapped with an average of a 0.75 demo rating and 4.04 million viewers.
Other cancelled NBC TV shows include Timeless, Emerald City, and Powerless. The Blacklist has been renewed for a fifth season on NBC.

Don’t cancel the show !!!!! Please
Seriously? After only 8 episodes of a potential goldmine of a story…
IDIOTS.
Redemption’s 8 episodes were better than the entirety of The Blacklist Season 3
This was a great show. Don’t cancel it.
I can’t believe they cancelled Redemption! Such a great show, super disappointed. Glad they kept Blacklist for another season at least.
This was a great show I love both Blacklist and Blacklist Redemption. Big mistake to cancel Redemption.
Bring it back. One season was not enough. It was just getting really interesting
The cancellation of this show is a mistake. I don’t think it got the promotion as the exemption to The Blacklist for people to make a major jump for the audience. I am beginning to tire of networks cancelling and commissioning shows for just one season. Also, I don’t think US network viewing figures aren’t the basis for cancelling a show. The worldwide rights make a difference too. As does viewer commitment. If the networks continue on this cycle then they will get no brand loyalty. So perhaps it’s not the writing or the production, it’s a problem with how… Read more »
What a shame, I was really liking Redemption, and wanted to see where it was headed – was Scottie the “evil woman”, or was Howard Hargrave a conniving psycho? Hopefully they can touch on that in an episode of The Blacklist – still one of the best shows on tv, next to Agents of Shield and The Expanse.
I absolutely loved the expansion of Tom’s character. He was too limited within Redemption alone. The reboot version making him and the family construct so complex guaranteed a second season. However this doesn’t detract from the fact the LA (gaga land) are more worried about the bottom line than they are audience loyalty. If they carry on their current path, it’s a spiral to nowhere. If someone likes a programme (like Blacklist:Redemption) but only knows that they will only get 10 episodes, what’s the point in watching?
I think it should be renewed. I am a die heart fan of the blacklist and looked forward to the blacklist redemption please renew it.
Too bad it didn’t get a second season. I think it was just getting some memento, and I think, had it got a second season it would have gotten better ratings.
Very disappointed it has been cancelled, it had a very interesting and entertaining cast.
