What’s in store for The Blacklist: Redemption? Recently, the creators of the Blacklist spin-off discussed the upcoming NBC TV series, Deadline reports.
The action drama follows Tom Keen (Ryan Eggold), Susan “Scottie” Hargrave (Famke Janssen), and Matias Solomon (Edi Gathegi) “as they aim to be a force for good and right dangerous wrongs.” The cast also includes Tawny Cypress and Adrian Martinez.
During this month’s Television Critics Association press tour, executive producer John Eisendrath described Redemption as much more of a “spy show” compared to The Blacklist. He also mentioned this show will center on a different kind of parent-child relationship:
The telling of the story has an odd, weird dynamic between a parent and a child. It’s very different from the story of who Red is; there’s a more relatable relationship for viewers here.”
And how will Redemption work with The Blacklist? Eisendrath revealed the 15th episode of The Blacklist will segue straight into The Blacklist: Redemption premiere as “Tom Keen walks from one episode into the next.”
The Blacklist: Redemption premieres on NBC on February 23rd at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
What do you think? Are you a fan of The Blacklist? Will you watch The Blacklist: Redemption?
RED, RED AND MORE RED. James Spader is the reason people started watching the Blacklist. James Spader is the reason they continue to watch the Blacklist.
Trying to sell a knock- off Blacklist is a hard NO.
Give RED a new interest/intrigue if Elizabeth isn’t interested in returning. But RED is the key – aka JAMES SPADER IS THE KEY
I want to see a season 5 of the Blacklist. I love James Spader and with the exception of Season three last episodes (Liz dying and a grieving Spader) the series is and always will be a hit if it sticks to the script of exposing Blacklisters.
I want Blacklist back…the only reason our family watches blacklist is to watch the superior performance of James Spader.
