NBC tried out 10 new TV series during the regular 2016-17 television season and cancelled four of them. Now, the Peacock Network is introducing The Brave. Can it live up to its title and perform heroically, or will it fall as so many who have gone on before it? Will The Brave be cancelled or renewed for season two? Stay tuned.
An undercover military drama, The Brave TV show stars Anne Heche, Mike Vogel, Natacha Karam, Demetrius Grosse, Noah Mills, Hadi Tabbal, Tate Ellington, and Sofia Pernas. The NBC series centers on Captain Adam Dalton (Vogel) who leads his Special Ops squad on dangerous field missions across the globe. Back in their Washington D.C. headquarters, D.I.A. Deputy Director Patricia Campbell (Heche) oversees the unit which provides support and analysis for Dalton and company. While this elite team usually faces seemingly insurmountable odds, they are dedicated to completing their missions successfully, regardless of the dangers and challenges thrown at them. **Status update below.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly in the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
1/30 update: You can see the rest of the latest night’s ratings.
Note: If you’re not seeing the updated chart, please try reloading the page or view it here.
Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Did you like The Brave TV series? Should it have been cancelled or renewed for a second season on NBC?
**5/11/2018 Status Update: The Brave has been cancelled by NBC after one season. Details here.
Just a brief comment in retrospect. The Brave was an exciting fast paced show which provided many nail biting moments. If good writing had continued the show probably would have built a good audience. Somebody should try to reboot this. Some network that is not trying to be so “PC”. People need to be reminded that there are a lot of unsung heroes out there helping to preserve our freedoms as well as help out oppressed people in lands far away. And isn’t Homeland in Season 8?

I loved the show and so did my husband. I think it should have been on at least one more season. It was new and refreshing and original not like so many shows that are a remake of old shows from the 70’s and 80’s
I am so aggravated, confused, and for the life of me can not figure out how this show could be cancelled!!! I thought, and still think, this was the best show on tv. There was a perfect team of characters and actors. The writing of this show made you interested in the characters individually and as a team without being soap-opera-ish. The stories were so well written and done, the cast was perfect, and it was cerebral as well as bad ass. Please, please, please bring this show back!!!
Why cancel The Brave, one of the best shows on t.v.
