Season four of When Calls the Heart airs its finale tonight — Sunday, April 23rd. But should there be a fifth season? What do you think? Should Hallmark Channel cancel or renew the TV series?
The historical drama follows Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow), a young teacher whose life is turned upside down when she moves to a small, coal mining town. The cast also includes Daniel Lissing, Lori Loughlin, Chelah Horsdal, Mitchell Kummen, Gracyn Shinyei, and Martin Cummins.
When Calls the Heart is a solid performer for Hallmark Channel. Ratings for season four are up from season three, with an average rating of 0.28 in the 18-49 demo and 2.41 million viewers so far. For comparison, season three averaged a .24 rating in the 18-49 demo and 2.06 million viewers.
It seems like a fifth season renewal should be a slam dunk but there’s been no announcement yet. Once again, the “Hearties” are having to be patient.

I absolutely love this show. Please don’t take it off. There is not very many shows like this on TV anymore. Lots of them have drugs, nudity, and bad language. I can’t wait from one week until the next when it’s comes back on. Janette One is an inspiration. I love her books. As long as when calls the heart is on, I’m sure the fan base will get bigger. I love “When Calls The Heart!
Love this show. Watch Hallmark all the time and can’t wait for the next episode of When calls the Heart, The Good Witch and other series. I would certainly vote yes to a renewal.

This is one of my favorite shows. I am looking forward to Elizabeth’s wedding and it would be cruel to cancel without showing that.

yes, it should be renewed. “When Calls the Heart” is a great show with the content of good values, never boring, always enjoyable, with good acting and directing. Hallmark should take every opportunity to renew the show.
When Calls the Heart is one of my favorite TV shows. I look forward to Sunday evenings and my friends in Hope Valley. Will be sadly disappointed if it is cancelled.

Yes it should be renewed. This is great clean show with a good story line and good sound moral values. In an age where you can’t watch most of what is on tv because it is offensive it is refreshing to have a show like When Calls the Heart.
Yes it should be renewed! It is a great show that I look forward to watching every week. Great actors plus you never know what will happen! I laugh , I cry-great moral values with wonderful lessons for all to learn!

Yes When Calls The Heart should continue. You must allow us to see Elizabeth and Jack get married and continue their lives in Hope Valley. With so much trash on tv, this show is so inspirational and must continue for those of us who want good quality programming. I love all the characters on the show and all the story lines are great.
