Fans won’t be seeing what happens to Olivia Lockhart in a fourth season of Cedar Cove. Hallmark Channel has cancelled their first scripted TV show after three seasons and 36 episodes.
Cedar Cove revolves around Olive (Andie MacDowell), a single mother from a small seaside community who’s also a municipal court judge. Olivia does her best to balance her career with family and finding love — all the while doing her best to care for the township she calls home. The rest of the cast includes Dylan Neal, Teryl Rothery, Sarah Smyth, Colin Ferguson, Bruce Boxleitner, Barbara Niven, Brennan Elliot, Corey Sevier, Sebastian Spence, Tom Stevens, Jesse Hutch, Jesse Moss, Emily Tennant, and Timothy Webber.
Hallmark’s first scripted TV series debuted in July 2013 to 2.62 million viewers. Though the TV show lasted three seasons, the ratings dropped each year. The first season of Cedar Cove averaged about two million viewers. The second season averaged 1.87 million and the third season averaged 1.67 million.
The cable channel announced the cancellation on their Facebook page. Here’s the statement:

I hadn’t heard the news about the cancellation but I am upset that it is not being carried for another season to end it. That’s one thing I despise about television series please bring it back as a short movie with an ending.
Even tho the TV show does not follow the book story line completly i have enjoyed watching them so much I binge watch them over and over…I would love to see it come back

I LOVE Cedar Cove & was greatly looking forward to Season 4!!! Like Downton Abby, this series ended WAY too soon! We need MORE Cedar Cove and many subjects and couples were still up in the air. I have so many unanswered and unfulfilled questions. PLEASE RECONSIDER, Hallmark Channel!!!
I miss Cedar Cove and knowing what would happen with the characters. . I thought it was a well done show. Bring it back for a fourth season. Please!

My work hours had changed and I thought I had missed Cedar Cove because of this. Then, come to find out, the show had been cancelled. Please bring the show back. We are left without having answers to so many unanswered questions. At least, bring it back for one final show.
Please reconsider renewing show season 4 would love to see happens between Judge Olivia & DA Paul. The town cove, flowers, water, back ground is just beautiful.
I absolutely loved this show and would not make plans on Saturday nights so that I could stay home and watch it. Please reconsider bringing it back. The show was just starting to get heated up and as stated, there were so many unanswered questions.

Hallmark, please at least do a movie so that we can see how it ends according to Hallmark! Those of us who have read the books know that it is all quite different! But I did really like this series! You have many people who are VERY disappointed by your decision to cancel this wonderful series!!!!
I was waiting patient for the new season to start and was very disappointed to see you cancelled one of my favorite Netflix shows.I hate investing my time in a good show only to have you cancel it. Millions of us are fans of Debbie Macomber books. Loved the series.
