NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.
What do you think? Will you miss Chase? Why do you think it didn’t catch on?

Love the show bring it back
Love the show! I look forward to seeing it every week. I think it sucks that NBC would rather play double episodes of that stupid Minite To Win It crap!
no wonder nbc is going down hill they are cancelling all the good shows
Keep Chase! If necessary put it in a different time slot. It’s way better than the garbage “Reality” TV shows.
I cannot believe they are considering cancelling such an excellent show. We spend our evenings scrolling channels to watch something decent and end up watching old tv shows on Nick. We were so pleased when Chase came on– I had a favorite show again!! Not every one likes reality shows?!! I just dont think it was advertised enough.
The show is really good, but the person in charge of the schedule eithr is sorry at their job or wanted the show to fail from the start. Anyone could tell you right out the gate that putting the show on Monday night at 10 against the most anticipated new drama Hawaii Five-O was a dumb move, then to move it up against an already established hit, Criminal Minds was another dumb move. If the show had aired at 9:00 on Monday to start with it might havbe gotten a chance, or moved it to 10:00 on Wednesday and let… Read more »
please keep chase we love it
TNT or TBS should buy it and put it back on air. Networks are losing shares to cable stations anyway b/c we are all sick of reality TV. Great Show !
Great show. Who are these clowns they are polling? Dump the stupid reality shows.
Bring Chase back and lose the stupid reality shows.
Chase is an excellent show with great acting and a very interesting story line.
NBC could not be more wrong then when they preempt Chase with something mindless like minute to win it.
Hey, I have a great idea…. Maybe Leno can fill that spot.
We love the show and never miss it…hope NBC gives it another chance.
great show
No wonder NBC can’t get ratings – they don’t keep any shows on that are good. Game shows at night? Yuck. Keep Chase please.
THIS IS A GREAT SNOW! LEAVE IT ON FRI OR SAT NIGHT AND IT WILL DO GREAT BECAUSE NBC HAS NOTHING ELSE ON THOSE NIGHTS.
I love this show. Please bring it back!
Love this show, leave it on
