NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

It is one of only two shows I was watching on NBC (THE EVENT). It is much better than anything else they got on. I work nights, so I had to watch it online or on comcast.
I miss Chase. Please bring it back. I haven’t missed an episode from the first episode.

Would love to see this show saved. Seriously…what is the problem NBC? NBC used to be the only network worth watching, and now it’s at the bottom of pond. The Office Sucks, Outsourcing Sucks. I could go on, and on, and on. As I’m flipping through my TiVo Cache, I see Southland, The Defenders, Fairly Legal, Royal Pains, Psych, The Mentalist, NCIS, Cougar Town…Ummm…none of those are NBC shows. This is a great show. I didn’t even know it had been moved to Wednesdays! I’ve been waiting for commercials of its return to Mondays for weeks. Another great show killed by network T.V.’s stupidity:(
Haven’t been this disappointed in NBC since they got rid of Scrubs.
I love this show! It is one of my favorites, and I will be sooo disapointed if it gets cancelled. This is exactly why I don’t like to watch new shows…they always get cancelled.
Please re air CHASE, I love this show. The reason the show isn’t getting enough ratings is because its competing with other shows like Criminal Minds on Wednesday. NBC, you should move the show back to Tuesday. Please bring back CHASE.

This is a great show !! The problem,my opinion, is that NBC didn’t give it a chance airing it in a time slot that didn’t do justice to the show!
