NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

Love this show. Just when you get hooked they take it off. It’s a very different kind of detective show. Great concept. Great actors. Too bad it’s not on anymore.

We hate that Chase isn’t on. We looked forward to it every week! Please bring it back or atleast sell it. Its a great show!!

I think that chase is a good action packed scripted show, and the lead girl is kicken. the problem is that nbc aired it against heavy hitters, and when they moved it that was the end. if they aired it on friday or saturday when there is absolutely nothing to see it bet it would have a growing audience. once people get to see the show they will like it, but they won’t give it a chance against proven hit shows. Hate to see the network drop it for a game show.
Sad when a great show like Chase is cancelled for a numbskull show like Minute to Win It – and you wonder why society is like it is?!

My husband & I loved this show!!!!!!!!! I don’t understand why everytime a good show comes on it ends up getting canceled!!! We are sick of reality shows and games!! Bring Chase Back!!!
This is a great show. One of the best on the air…please bring in back. I miss watching Annie take down the bad guys. I’ll watch this show any day of the week in lieu of the reality shows that are out by the different networks.
