NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

I’m pissed that they are likely canceling Chase. I love the show. I don’t really care much for minute to win it. I thought Chase had a great cast. I live in Texas and was glad to see a show set here. I don’t get why so many people didn’t watch it. They missed out.
Good show with a good cast. Cancelled because the jackasses in NY don’t like to watch a show about tough, good guys with guns that takes place in TX.
Every time there is a good show with a good cast it’s always taken off the air. Did have anything to do with the fact that it is based in Houston and not LA, NY or Las Vegas?

I LOVE this show and I have seen every episode so far. I love the main character, she reminds me so much of my friend. I really hate it when my favorite shows get cancelled! Its like the tv people hate me…haha okay maybe not that bad but a girl has to wonder.
My husband and I loved the show. We are very disappointed that the show has been cancelled. We never missed a show. We loved the actor in the show, especially the female lead she’s wonderful. My husband and I only have a handful of favorites and that was one of them. Is there any chance NBC could find a different night for it? If it comes out on DVD, we will purchase it and always hope for more episodes.
This is an exciting show with a positive female lead. I love the storylines and hope NBC gives it a chance to find an audience which I’m sure it will!
I love this show, there is a lot of action. It would be terrible if they don’t bring it back.

Finally got a decent show based in Texas and it’s been canceled. Really sad! I kinda liked it!

My husband and I love this show and we were wandering what happened to the show. Monday night is a good night. There are to many shows on Wed night. I hope you bring it back.
