NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

I love Chase. I personally think the biggest reason for it’s poor ratings is because it’s rarely played 2 consecutive weeks in a row at the same time & day. I’ve had to hunt for it numerous times.
I LOVE CHASE. It is me and my dad favorite show. Please don’t cancel the show. Please move it to a different night! We don’t want it to end. I would like to see the last episodes to air!
I think NBC really dropped the ball in terms of advertising about Chase. I am a regular tv watcher, and I had never seen a commerical or heard anything about Chase being on. I just happened to find it one night while I was channel surfing, and I have loved it ever since. It is Wednesday night, and I am really missing it. PLEASE bring it back. Such a great example of a powerful, strong, confident woman. We need more shows like this one. I love Chase.
“Chase” has never been given a chance – put up against heavy-hitter “Castle” and newly resurrected “Hawaii-50” and no promotions by NBC, it’s no wonder it didn’t do better in the ratings. It has good writing and scripts and excellent acting – it deserves a better time slot. We have enough game shows and reality TV. This is an excellent show and should be brought back in a better time slot.
PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL THE SHOW…It was my favorite this season! When I couldn’t watch it, I always recorded it via DVR and watched it at my leisure. What a great cast they had! Love the show!

OMW I love Chase!!!!! Please don’t cancel it!! I enjoy watching it a lot more than a minute to win it… plus there are already enough game shows on tv.
Week after week of not showing this show has been so-o-o-o disappointing. I don’t watch a lot of television, but I loved this new series. We have been so disappointed and even called the studio to complain. Either night works for us, but get it back on!!!
We really appreciate the show CHASE, and are very disappointed in the decision NBC has made. Please reconsider putting it back on the are, as Minute to Win It can go to CNBC or MSNBC. These goofy reality shows don’t do it for us, and liked the character development that was taking place with CHASE. You were just beginning on getting it right……and NBC makes another bad decision.
I LOVE Chase, and would hate for it to be permanently gone from the lineup. Honestly, I looked for it every Monday night, and only recently saw that they moved it to Wednesdays. When it wasn’t on Mondays, I assumed it was just another of those mid-season breaks the networks seem so annoying fond of, and didn’t go looking for it elsewhere. I really enjoyed Chase and DVR’d it if I was not home. The TV Guide still lists it, but sadly it is gone. I am so fed up with the networks. They choose their “new show darlings” and promote them to death. One example: When Grey’s Anatomy began, it was advertised everywhere, constantly. And ABC even showed it a second time each week on Friday nights. They were determined it was going to catch on, and it finally did. The characters were becoming fully developed – sometime it takes a few episodes to get there – so give Chase another chance. US Marshalls are the Good Guys – and we need a series that show us the good they do. There are police, detective, FBI and CSI shows. US Marshalls need their day in the sun, too. I wish the networks would stop taking programs off the air mid season. It’s not fair to audiences or to the actors. The is a really good show. The best of the season to me. NBC should take a chance and get it a little more time. There are some shows that had poor ratings at first but busted out as time went on. Please don’t cancel this show. If you do please sell the rights to another network I’m sure they will know how to market it.
WTH?!?!?! Chase is a great show. I want it back please.
