NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

They cancelled production on the last 4 episodes and yanked it from the line up…. Then replaced it with a game show. Accept reality… It was the lowest ranked show on the network… The show sucked…. That’s why it’s gone… get over it and move on.
Please bring back Chase! It has great actors and the show was just starting to get good. If the next 5 episodes are as good as the last 2 shows that aired…you”ll have no problem!

We were very bummed tonight when we couldn’t find one of our favorite Shows on television. The only thing we didn’t like about the show was the sub-plots. Please don’t take away my other NBC favorite, “Parenthood”.
How does NBC expect a show to gain viewership if it constantly moves its time slots, sez it is going to be on then replaces it with that dyed blond haired goofball that only knows how to do hand signs. Because of the way NBC treats its lineup like a ping pong ball, the only show I watch on that network is Law & Order SVU. My family loves this show. We have been waiting for it to come back on and can’t believe it might be canceled. I think you just need to advertise it some more. If people start watching it they will get hooked.

Please don’t cancel this show! It is the ONLY scripted show I watch because its the best! This is why nobody watches network tv anymore just cable. If NBC cancels it, hopefully one of the cable channels will pick it up!
Please donot cancell chase I looked forward to the nites that it was on, the cast was great, I would rather watch that than a minuet to win it, cancell that show instead
I just found this show as it isn’t heavily advertised. I liked it so much I watched all episodes online to catch up. Now I find nothing. PLEASE bring the show back.

We miss Chase! Minute to Win it is no replacement either. My husband and I loved watching it together. At least air the last episodes! We hope that you bring back Chase soon and don’t cancel it completely. It is a great show, and we think it could catch on bigger with more time.
