NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

My husband I couldn’t wait to watch this show each week. I love Annie and the rest of the Bounty Hunters. Also, the plots and story lines were so real, and there are bad people out there, doing bad things that need to be taken down. Annie is fearless and her character as well as the others working along side her made us feel like they were helping us out. Please don’t cancel this show!
Please bring Chase back!! It’s one of the best shows on. I’m sick to death of the stupid reality shows and want decent TV to watch. It’s so discouraging to really get into a show only to have it canceled. Stop pandering to the immature brain dead and give those of us with some intelligence GOOD TV!!!
I also DVR Chase! Bring my show back!!!!! Wake up! Advertise it more,change the day again,but please do something! Please dont let such a great show be canceled!!!!
Looking at other comments I agree that moving to Wed. nights was a really bad decision. It is almost like NBC was just looking for a reason for it to fail. Monday was a great night to air it.
I Love Chase!! I am so sick of watching a show and really liking it just to have it canceled! I’m starting to think I need to turn the television off and pick up a good book!
I really miss Chase. I don’t know why it was not catching on I thought it was a really good show. I like Minute to Win it but not 2 hrs worth. One less person watching NBC now. Put Chase back in the line up please!

One of the best shows in a long time. The good ones are always cancelled and the silly reality shows are always kept on. Don’t make sense to me. Anyway, loved Chase
I liked chase, it was a good filler show, it wasn’t ever destined for greatness the acting wasn’t very good, plot was almost identical and it was ohhhh so convenient for them to just show up all over the place just suddenly, the bad guy had a 3 day headstart and was in Az, now they are in Az right behind the person its a full days drive from houston to flagstaff. But I did enjoy the show. I can’t wait for In Plain Site to come back on MUCH better Marshalls show than this one.
The ratings went down coz ya’ll switched it to a night that American Idol is on, not a good way to get viewers…
SO disappointing!We really loved this show-fantastic female crime fighter with great action and nice ensemble. And replaced by yet another inane reality contest show aimed setting the bar so low!

Where are you getting the ratings from? I am a senior citizen I go to bed early most nites, but when Chase is being aired, I drink a cup of coffee just so I can stay awake to watch it. I DO NOT LIKE GAME SHOWS ESPECIALLY MINUTE TO WIN IT! Y’all need to re-think this decision. They take all the good shows away and leave the junk on TV. WHATS UP WITH THAT? BRING CHASE BACK!
HELLO PEOPLE!!!! Wake up, CHASE was the best program on NBC. The only other great show on the network is Harry’s Law! I loved CHASE, I know of several others that loved it too! At least put it on DVD so I can see the un-aired episodes! BRING CHASE BACK!
i will miss chase, i enjoyed the show. maybe the reason for the bad reviews was they kept moving the nights.
