NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

I love Chase, but these days networks have no patience for developing an audience.
Chase was a great show! It always had a good amount of action and suspense, with a lot of heart. And it was great to see such a strong female on TV and not some little damsel in distress. I hope it comes back! They should put it back on Monday’s…
What??? please bring it back!!! I watch it through the website bc I am not able to catch it when it airs and I tell ya I love that show!!!!!!!! These characters kick butt and have some depth to them, unlike so called reality shows or oh joy another game show!
I watched every episode of Chase and loved every minute of it. A great show and the actors are superb! NBC made a mistake in it’s original time slot and compounded it by moving the show. Never really had a chance. I would aabsolutely love to see TNT or USA pick it up and go forward with it. Obviously has a great writer…..just needs a good second chance. Unbelievable when you see all the junk that is out there.

I can’t believe this show is being cancelled, it was one of my favorite new shows. I watched every episode and thought the story lines were great. I loved that a woman was the head of the team and calling the shots. This show had lots of action which I really enjoyed. I guess if it’s not a reality show or game show the networks are quick cancel. I’m very disappointed that the networks think people only want to see stupid reality tv and game shows.
My husband and I loved this show-all the ones we like seem to end up cancelled. Would love to see at least the five episodes they have already filmed. It’s a shame that good shoes aren’t given more of a chance. Hopefully the powers that be at NBC will see these comments and pay attention!

I loved the show, we watched it (or DVR’ed if working late). I think its a shame that more people didn’t catch on to it, and I hate to see it not air. Specially since there are episodes out there ready to go on air. I hate these game shows, and dating reality shows. Give us back chase and out game shows on during the morning like they should be.

They need to keep it on at a set time, I lost track of it because of the move from Monday nights, and when it aired on Wednesday it was up against serious competition I would of still tivo’d it but what can ya do? Anything remotely worth watching is canceled in favor of worthless hours of “normal” people or losing weight. *smh*
Really liked the show. Always put in tough time slots. goin up against Criminal Minds was not a good call Never been a fan of nite game shows or reality shows for that matter
My husband and I have watch every episode of “Chase”. I like that it was set in Houston, TX and had a little western justice. I watch very little network TV because it is usually reality or game shows and I don’t like either one. If I didn’t have DirecTV I probably wouldn’t watch any of it.
I liked it. A good show and would like to see it back on soon.
