NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

I really like chase. I think its crap that they canceled it in the middle of the season.
WE REALLY LIKED THE SHOW “CHASE” … good plots … good characters … terrific action scenes. It’s a big disappointment that this show has been removed! PUT IT BACK ON !
I think when you put Chase against Hawaii Five O on Mondays and Blue Bloods on Wednesday it did not have a chance to get a fan base.
I loved the show, granted in either slot, there were other things I was watching, but it was a regular on the dvr…I think the stations need to realize that people are now watching more than one show, it’s just that some are dvr.

My husband and I both enjoy watching Chase. Our DVR has been set to record every episode. Minute to Win It might be a good game show — but I agree that 2 hours in prime time does not make sense. I hope to see more Chase — the cast and its chemistry was inviting and we will miss the show if it is canceled.
I liked it as well. I, like many people, use the internet for watching TV series’ that I like. I have a funny feeling that people like me aren’t figured into the official census with the rest of the couch potatoes.
I’m tired of NBC! They keep canceling all the good adult shows. First the show Outlawed, then Under covers, and now Chase. It makes me not want to watch any shows on NBC. i GET INTO THEM AND THEY TAKE THEM AWAY.
Chase was great. I thought we had finally found a show to take the place of 24…bring it back!
I love chase, one of the best shows on t.v.. I think Nbc neilson system that predicts t.v ratings is broken, chase was a great show u were always on the edge of your seat, and then they go and replace it with a crappy game show u must be kidding, bring chase back its am amazing show!!! They cancel to many shows these days based on ****** ratings systems that arent really that accurate.. Bring CHASE BACK!
It seems like good shows were hacked left and right this year. Outlaw and The Whole Truth were both canned when one of them could have swallowed the law drama crowd as well as Lonestar which was canned after two episodes. I wish the shows were given a chance. I’m also sad to see Under Covers go. It was far fetched and weak at times, but it was nice to see a show with two Black American heroes as the main focus when other shows only allow for at most one token Black character to balance out an entourage cast.… Read more »
I can not beleive they are cancelling Chase. What is wrong with NBC? I do not know where they are getting the numbers from , this is one of the program that we waited for every week. What is up with the lame attack.
I absolutely loved the show!! Acting and story line was great. And it was nice to see a show not based in a major city (Miami, LA, NYC). Please bring it back!!

I really like chase, NBC has now canceled three great shows.. Mercy, Trauma and now Chase.. I think I am going to be watching CBS.. Why in the world would you put a game show on for two hours…. Chase needs to be put on Monday night’s again…
