NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

I am very disappointed to hear that Chase will most likely not return. It was one of my favorite shows this season. I had my DVR set to record every episode and then poof it was gone. Not everone wants to watch reality tv or two hours of game shows. Do the 5.4 million viewers who were tuned in not count?

Chase was a good cop show. Please bring it back. There are two many game shows, and to many reality games.
I love the show chase I’m going through Chase withdrawal. I hope they bring the show back. Annie Frost was a strong woman it was nice to see that in her profession. I was really looking forward to Annie and Jimmy getting together. Once again,another one bites the dust! America has become a slave to the Nielsen ratings…Not everyone has and doesn’t want,that lil’ black box. If you know a show is suffering why put it up against a show like Hawaii Five-O or any other show that has a higher rating?Are you setting these shows up to fail? Pretty soon you might not have any shows except your game shows or comedies??? Why not do the research and put some of your shows on when ABC and CBS has their unfavorable shows on. My daughter and I LOVE Chase. We looked forward to watching it every week. One of the better cop action shows in a long time. Sure a nice change from all the reality shows. Please bring it back!!!!!!!!

I miss not watching Chase. They need to bring it back. I even would record the program if i was not going to be home. Chase was just not a fiction it was real to me. Shows exactly what The Texas Rangers would do. Even after the show they would show the fugitive they are looking for. Can not believe the rating was that low. BRING IT BACK .PLEASE. PLEASE. THANK YOU. They can take Detroit off the air .
I liked Chase also and NBC doesn’t have alot of good shows on their network except for game shows . They need to bring back Chase. A show worth watching..
I definetly think Chase is better than cheesy Hawaii 5-0 . Chase has better chracters and better story lines

I liked the characters and action in this show. The fact it was lead by a strong woman and quite different stories from the regular cop show. I agree with the previous comment about Mercy and Trauma being cancelled. Too bad, they had good characters and were certainly better than some shows out there.
