NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

Have you guys lost your MINDS! Chase is one of the best tv shows to come along in a long while. My husband and I are just sick about it being taken off the network.
As for Minute to Win It that replaced it……IT SUCKS BIG TIME! Minute to Win It is one of the worst programs I’ve ever watched. I’d rather watch paint peeling off a house than watch minute to win it.
BRING BACK……CHASE……NOW!

My husband & I both enjoyed watching this show. I can’t believe that NBC hasn’t really given it a chance to succeed. We are both very sorry to see the demise of this show.
I love this show!! The only reson this show didn’t do good on Wednesdays is because they put it up against American Idol!! It needs to be moved to a different night or re-aired after Idol is over! My whole family watched this show and if NBC is not gonna bring it back, then at least give us our last five episodes!!!
I think they were prematurely stupid to take CHASE off the air! It’s a great show, and everyone on it does an incredible acting job! I’ve watched each and every episode and it just kept getting better! What is wrong with networks? I remember when All In The Family, Cheers and a few other shows were up for cancellation after a couple of weeks airing. Someone smartened up and saved them, and look what happened! Lucille Ball saved Mission Impossible from being cancelled! Sometimes I think the networks wants\ nothing but reality and game shows FOREVER! Joe
God, I truly hope not! I CANNOT stand reality TV. I won’t watch it. I can’t! I completely agree. they’re not giving this show a fair chance at all. At least let them finish the season.

Oh my goodness!!! I just read that Chase is being canceled. Why is it that when a good show comes on NBC always takes it away and replaces it with some stupid game show. I loved watching Chase and looked forward to the action packed episodes. I don’t like Minute to Win It unless you feel like watching a show that takes no thinking to watch.

Minute to Win It is the most tiresome show on TV. I don’t know how it can replace anything. I have only seen parts of a couple of shows. That is all I could stand.

of Chase it was action pack hour and kept you on the edge of your seats I had also seen it being filmed in Seagoville Texas which was never mentioned .
