NBC has decided to pre-empt Chase once again but this time it’s looking a lot more permanent. The network has put the TV series on hiatus and replaced it with episodes of Minute to Win It. Though the network has not officially cancelled Chase, there’s certainly no compelling reason for NBC to bring it back.
Back in September, Chase debuted to mediocre ratings and things went quickly downhill from there. On Monday nights, Chase averaged just a 1.5 rating in the 18-49 demographic and a meager 5.44 million viewers. When the series moved to Wednesday nights for the new year, the ratings only got worse. It’s currently the lowest-rated scripted series on the network.
NBC pre-empted Chase this week and replaced it with a double dose of Minute to Win It. That move paid off with the game show literally doubling the demo performance of Chase’s last original episode. Not surprisingly, NBC has now bumped the remaining episodes of Chase from the schedule.
The peacock network had given the show a full season order back in October but by December had trimmed that back from 22 to 18 installments. There are currently five unaired episodes of Chase on the shelf and there’s no word from NBC on when or if they’ll ever be aired.

Disgusted that it’s off. I’m so pissed!!!! I’m at the point that I don’t want to get involved with these series any more just to start to get into them then have them cancelled out of the blue.. It’s a shame it was so good. I really do hope it comes back on and that they at least can give us some closure to the show.
Chase is a great show. I hope it is not dropped.

I have been watching this show from the very beginning. The show is great. I agree with others, NBC caused the problem with the ratings by putting this show up against well established powerhouse shows. As far as I’m concerned they should have left the show on Monday nights at 10:00. I do want to see the last five episodes that NBC is holding. I love the show Chase; from the 1st episode. It has great story lines and the cast has great chemistry. I think networks should feel some obligation to viewers to run all the episodes they produce. It really speaks poorly to us viewers who really like the show and look forward to it week after week. They should run it for the season and if they dont want to pick it up next year then advertise a “series finale”. Don’t know why they don’t give a good show a chance & not try to put it
up against a really strong show until it can get some viewers. When they
moved it to Wednesday, they put it against a strong show so why not try
somewhere it has chance.
One of the (very) few shows I enjoyed watching every week, and now it’s gone. This is a great show. I can’t understand why NBC is cancelling
PLEASE bring it back!! It’s well scripted, entertaining, good story line and good acting. If NBC would advertise it more, perhaps viewership would be better.
No joke, advertise! I happened across it on Hulu. Been waiting on it to show back up but it disappeared! Really pissed; if you’re going to cancel a show, don’t leave us hanging!

I loved Chase my husband and I watched it all the time. NBC always picks bad time slots for great shows. Please it back!
I really did enjoy this show and l felt the charactors were building. I am so sorry executives at these TV stations have no patience for shows to build. How about it at least
coming to DVD,so l can see the 5 episodes that our still in the can.
