TV show description:
The sitcom about a bar “where everybody knows your name” — Cheers.
Cheers is run by former Red Sox pitcher and recovering alcoholic Sam Malone (Ted Danson), dimwitted bartender Ernie “Coach” Pantusso (Nicholas Colasanto), and two waitresses — intellectual Diane Chambers (Shelley Long) and sarcastic Carla Tortelli (Rhea Perlman).
In later seasons, bartender Woody Boyd (Woody Harrellson) and manager Rebecca Howe (Kirstie Alley) join the staff.
Barflys include know-it-all postman Cliff Clavin (John Ratzenberger), lazy accountant Norm Peterson (George Wendt), intellectual psychologist Dr. Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammer) and his eventual wife, the deadpan Dr. Lilith Sternan Crane (Bebe Neuwirth).
Episode 274 — One for the Road
Diane returns to Boston after winning an award for her writing, but her life isn’t exactly as it seems. Sam potentially leaves Cheers for good. Woody gets Norm a job and Cliff receives a promotion. Rebecca can’t decide if she wants to wed Don the plumber. At the end, the gang ponders the meaning of life and Sam closes up. bring cheers to metv
What an amazing show Cheers was! I continue to watch the reruns whenever I get a chance even though I have seen all the episodes at least 3-4 times. What great writing and acting.
