After a season of mediocre ratings, NBC moved Chicago Fire to follow The Voice. As a result, the show was one of a few network series to go up in the ratings year-to-year. Will the numbers continue to climb? Will it be renewed for a fourth season or could it be cancelled instead? Stay tuned.
Chicago Fire follows the lives and work of the firefighters, rescue squad, and paramedics of Chicago Firehouse 51. The cast includes Jesse Spencer, Taylor Kinney, Charlie Barnett, Monica Raymund, Lauren German, Eamonn Walker, David Eigenberg, Joe Minso, Yuri Sardarov, and Christian Stolte.
The ratings are typically the best indication of a show’s likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available — usually the next day, around 11:30am EST/8:30am PST. Refresh to see the latest.
2/5 update: NBC has renewed Chicago Fire for a fourth season. Details here.
Final season averages: 1.82 rating in the 18-49 demographic with 7.42 million total viewers.

Due to a Nielsen glitch, some of the early ratings of the 2014-15 season were revised a few weeks later.
For comparisons: The second season of Chicago Fire averaged a 2.0 rating in the demo and 7.46 million viewers.
Note: Note: These are the Live + Same Day Ratings which include “live” viewing plus delayed DVR viewing, up until 3am local time that same night. Ratings marked with an “*” are the fast affiliate ratings and will be updated with the Live+SD numbers when they are made available. Typically, networks get paid for C+3 ratings which includes DVR viewing within three days of the original airing when commercials are watched. Those numbers are rarely released to the press.
What do you think? Do you still like the Chicago Fire TV series? Would you like to see it cancelled or renewed for a fourth season?

fantastic, best show on tv,
I loved Chicago Fire. I’ have been waiting for it to come on again but can’t find it. It definitely should NOT be cancelled .
Chicago Fire is due back on Oct 13.
Never miss an episode! Chicago Fire is the best show NBC has to offer. Not every show has to involve gangs, guns and people being murdered! Some of us like our suspense just biting our nails, hoping that baby or that firefighter is going to be saved from that burning high-rise. Please don’t cancel it!
Love show! Never had a Show like this ever. I really appreciate our Firefighters ever more now .
the best show on t.v.!!!can’t believe the rating could possibly be that low,Everyone I know loves the show. We all say it like the the actors are just part of the family or close friends.we love when they love & hurt when they hurt,we even hate when they hate !!!!!!Now it would be like a big part of our life just died!!!!!!!
Please don’t cancel Chicago fire. I’m inspired every time I watch it and I never miss an episode. I’ve considered to become a fire fighter which I was a volenteer for two years.
Don’t cancel Chicago Fire.
Renew gre as t show
Please do not cancel Chicago Fire ,or Chicago pd those are the 2 best dramas , there’s been so many good shows that have been cancelled like Hostages, Gang Related, Believe and others that were really good ! I was so upset I said I’d never watch regular TV drama series again!,,Chicago Fire n Pd is what keeps me believing again!!!! Please dont cancel
I, too, hope Chicago FD continues. We are hooked on it. We are trying to find a way to to see seasons 1 and 2. This is better than the series I’ve seen lately.
I really hope Chicago Fire doesn’t get cancelled this is by far the only show that I really watch on TV
