NBC can’t get enough of Chicago. Give Me My Remote reports the network has ordered additional episodes of Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago PD for the 2018-19 season.
Currently, Chicago Med is in its fourth season, Chicago Fire in its seventh, and Chicago PD in its sixth season. The procedurals hail from Law & Order executive producer Dick Wolf.
Reportedly, all three NBC series have been given two extra episodes for the 2018-19 season, bringing each season total to 22 episodes. Chicago PD director Eriq La Salle announced the news on social media:

My favorite is Chicago Fire. I love it now that they are all on the same night
I love the CHICAGO Series, especially CHICAGO FIRE!! I have the first 6 Seasons on DVD, and Season 1 and 5 of PD!! I think the idea is AWESOME!! Way to go NBC

I totally look forward to Chicago shows on Wednesday when they’re not on I just turned the TV off and go to bed they’re the most awesome shows I’ve ever seen and thank you for bringing them on.

Love P.D. the most; Fire is very good. So much better without Gabby. Hope she never comes back. I started watching because of Dick Wolf and some actors who had been on other shows. Wolf is pretty fantastic. However, Med is so beneath his talents. The only reason I watch it is because I might see the other shows characters. So many of their medical storylines are filled with wrong information. Writers, try Google before you write a script! Also, agree with others about Herman and Al; wonderful characters. I can’t Believe this is happening. Chicago PD was my favorite show. I always watch the reruns on the oxygen off Channel. I don’t know what I’m gonna do. I know Chicago PD was getting good viewing ratings. To just end it like that with two more episode is crazy .

They are not cancelling any of the Chicago shows. They are adding 2 more additional episodes to each. Go back and re-read the article.

I’m extremely proud to see we(fans) will get more of all 3 of Chicago series. Me and my family have been in evolved in all 3 of the professions, and we love the shows. Thank you NBC for giving us more of the good shows.
I just LOVE all 3 shows. There’s no way to rate just one. I was so happy when NBC put them all together in one nite. I watch a lot of repeats of Chicago P.D. I wish they would put more repeats of the other shows on. thats when I have to watch repeats.
