This NBC comedy-action series follows the exploits of the world’s nerdiest secret agent, Chuck Barowski. The head of the Nerd Herd at Buy More electronics, he unwittingly ends up a secret government agent after the only remaining copy of the world’s greatest spy secrets are accidentally embedded in his brain. The series stars Zachary Levi Yvonne Strahovski, Joshua Gomez, Ryan McPartlin, Mark Christopher Lawrence, Scott Krinsky, Sarah Lancaster, and Adam Baldwin.
Season four of Chuck debuted on NBC last night and season three has just been released on DVD. The five disc set includes all 19 episodes as well as “declassified scenes,” a gag reel and featurettes “Chuck-Fu…and Dim Sum: Becoming a Spy Guy” and “The Jeffster Revolution: The Definitive Mockumentary.”

Bartowski is so much an every-man nerd, with a healthy sense of “how the heck did I get here, and how do I survive another moment in order for me to see this beautiful blonde co-worker-slash-lover become my one true love? VS How did I get roped into keeping this chip in my head?” Chuck the character is played brilliantly, and “Chuck” the series has terrific writers who sense that the audience is not stupid, but loves schtick! I love the show. It’s the only one I’ve petitioned to stay on. Hope NBC is smart enough to continue it. And I’d love to win the 3rd season.
