What’s This TV Show About?
Airing on the SundanceTV cable channel, Cleverman stars Hunter Page-Lochard, Rob Collins, Iain Glen, Frances O’Connor, Deborah Mailman, Tasma Walton, Rarriwuy Hick, Jada Alberts, Rachael Blake, Tony Briggs, Clarence Ryan, Taylor Ferguson, Rob Collins, Stef Dawson, Ryan Corr, and Jack Charles. The supernatural drama draws inspiration from Australian Aboriginal mythological traditions. Set in the near future — when beings of Aboriginal legend live among humans — the story moves between two worlds: The City and The Zone. In the “regular world” of The City, uniformed, armed Containment Officers patrol the streets to keep people “safe” from Hairypeople, whom the government deems subhuman. Only the Cleverman — a chosen one — has the power to reunite these two worlds and discern the real evil behind a murderous spree terrorizing everyone.

Telly’s Take
Although season two premiered with low numbers (even for a small cable network), Cleverman is a joint production between SundanceTV and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, so its success down under will play into whether it is cancelled or renewed for a third season. Word is that it’s not doing well there either. I’ll keep a hungry eye on the ratings but I suspect that Cleverman won’t see a third season. Most definitely another season, other countries watching this can see that the prejudice against blacks is ongoing all over the world. I have always wanted to visit Australia and now afterr watching this and Glitch, with the beautiful shots of this country, more than ever.Season 3 please!!
I happened to stumble upon Cleverman. Glad I did. It’s one of the better shows that I’ve come across that I didn’t know existed. Upon getting to the end of the second season and looking up the fate of the show, I’m saddened to know that the future of the show is uncertain. Only positive is that it looks like it’s not cancelled, but in limbo. I never comment about these things, but I hope I am one of many that would like to see another season, if not more.
Please make another season
its 3 years later and I still love cleaver man show. It really is to bad it was not renewed and not better visuals not used. It had a great story line that really could have gone many places.

This show has stuck with me even after 2 years. It introduced me to culture I knew nothing about. It had such an interesting story and amazing characters. We need a season 3 for a resolution at least
