TV show description:
This gritty medical drama revolves around an Emergency Room in Los Angeles where underfunding and understaffing pile huge pressure on its staff. A “code black” is issued when the ER no longer has the manpower, capacity or equipment to operate effectively.
Doctor Leanne Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden) is the ER Residency Director. She’s a brilliant doctor and an experienced professional who often has to resort to her intuition as opposed to standard medical procedures in order to save lives. She reminds her staff that life is measured in split seconds and a moment of hesitation can be the difference between life and death.
On the flip side to Leanne’s risk-taking is Doctor Neal Hudson (Raza Jaffrey) who is constantly at odds with her cavalier attitude.
Leanne’s confidante is Senior Nurse Jesse Salander (Luis Guzman) who’s seen it all at the country’s most notorious ER. His job is to manage the residents. Like the other technicians, doctors and nurses, he is facing a daily battle to save lives under immense pressure.
Mario Savetti (Benjamin Hollingsworth), Christa Lorenson (Bonnie Somerville), Angus Leighton (Harry Ford) and Malaya Pineda (Melanie Chandra) are all first-year residents coming to terms with the harsh realities of their chosen profession.
Episode #47 — Business of Saving Lives
Angels Memorial descends into chaos when a plane crashes into the eighth floor. Also, it is up to Mario to save Noa’s life when she has a car accident. In addition, Willis admits to Rox that he needs her in his life, and the doctors gather in court to support Leanne for her custody hearing.
First aired: July 18. 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Code Black TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for season four on CBS?
This is my favorite show on tv. I hope it isn’t really cancelled.
I love Code Black. It is my favorite show on tv right now.
It was a great show to watch – each week. And as time moved along, the shows increasingly got into the human relationships. I’ll miss it if it doesn’t return.
Please renew Code Black for season 4.
Please renew for Season 4, It’s a great show!
I LOVE Code Black PLEASE rethink
This is the best show on TV right now, the only reason I subscribe to CBS online is so I can watch this show. Please keep it going, the stories are amazing and the characters are so relatable.
I hate that NBC is choosing to cancel Code Black. It was fast and furious. The characters were well developed and were showing more of themselves each week. Wish they had tried another night or time slot. I am growing more and more weary of the inane sitcoms and the “reality” genre.
OMG SERIOUSLY??? Yet Another one. One of the best shows on TV today. It is EXTREMELY sad that good entertainment such as this has to go but bring on more STUPID reality TV of untalented idiots or STUPID so called comedy. Concerns me as to where we are headed as a society. STOP TAKING AWAY TALENT!!!
I loved the show, especially when Rob Lowe joined the cast. I enjoyed the battles and emergency situations that this show brought to life. No sex or bad language, just good down to earth situations that happen in the ER.
Why would you cancel this show ? It was wonderful
I can’t even imagine why you would want to cancel this show. We can’t wait for another episode as soon as one finishes. Please take off **** like dancing with the stars , well I guess that you think those has beens are stars. I watch any otther networks than to watch crap like the bachelors. Your losing some great loyal customers every week. Including me and lotas of my friends. Think think think .
So disappointing that another well acted, non vulgar, healthy show has been cancelled.
My God you continue a show like The Goldbergs. It is the most shallow pathetic program
And you want to cancel Code Black. You are so….
Why is it every time a good, honest show comes on it gets cancelled! It’s based on reality but still entertaining! I’m tired of all these “real” reality shows, if they want to cancel some garbage shows they can start with Big Brother, Survivor, Naked & Afraid, in my opinion these are all BS shows & have run their course (to death!!)
