TV show description:
This gritty medical drama revolves around an Emergency Room in Los Angeles where underfunding and understaffing pile huge pressure on its staff. A “code black” is issued when the ER no longer has the manpower, capacity or equipment to operate effectively.
Doctor Leanne Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden) is the ER Residency Director. She’s a brilliant doctor and an experienced professional who often has to resort to her intuition as opposed to standard medical procedures in order to save lives. She reminds her staff that life is measured in split seconds and a moment of hesitation can be the difference between life and death.
On the flip side to Leanne’s risk-taking is Doctor Neal Hudson (Raza Jaffrey) who is constantly at odds with her cavalier attitude.
Leanne’s confidante is Senior Nurse Jesse Salander (Luis Guzman) who’s seen it all at the country’s most notorious ER. His job is to manage the residents. Like the other technicians, doctors and nurses, he is facing a daily battle to save lives under immense pressure.
Mario Savetti (Benjamin Hollingsworth), Christa Lorenson (Bonnie Somerville), Angus Leighton (Harry Ford) and Malaya Pineda (Melanie Chandra) are all first-year residents coming to terms with the harsh realities of their chosen profession.
Episode #47 — Business of Saving Lives
Angels Memorial descends into chaos when a plane crashes into the eighth floor. Also, it is up to Mario to save Noa’s life when she has a car accident. In addition, Willis admits to Rox that he needs her in his life, and the doctors gather in court to support Leanne for her custody hearing.
First aired: July 18. 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Code Black TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for season four on CBS?
Love the show. Please renew. Excellent acting.
Absolutely love this show. Marcia Gay Harden is fabulous!
Love this show – the actors make the characters come alive and the story lines are realistic (only one I didn’t like was the Zombies but they even pulled that one off a the end!)
Please keep it on for us – maybe advertise it a little more?
I love Code black and so does my teenagers. This does remind me of E.R. tv shows. I used to watch E.R. all the time. So of course we love Code Black, I would be very sad as well as my kids if it gets canceled. Too many shows these days are not family shows. I will have to say, we look forward every summer “BIG BROTHER”
I love Code Black! Please don’t cancel it. The writing, actors – are all excellent. There are some really bad shows on TV right now – don’t get rid of a good show.
Love his show the best to come along since NCIS
I really love Code Black. If it’s canceled I am gonna really be disappointed. Even pissed off. There are not many good shows left on regular network channels. Please don’t cancel my new favorite show. The cast and story lines are fantastic.
I think that Code Black is the best new show to come on Television in a good number of years. It is one of the few shows that appeals to a large cross-section of age groups. It should be renewed without hesitation.
Show is on CBS.
Renew…one of the best new shows this year! Renew please!
Please DO NOT CANCEL. WELL DONE NBC AND THE CAST OF CODE BLACK> FIVE THUMBS UP!!!!!!!!! From two former EMS and Rescue workers and viewers(husband and wife). Sometimes the phrases are hard to hear, due to the intense background noise, but that’s the only little flaw with this great drama, and we love mama too!
Renew please. We love this show.
Please renew, We find Code Black a well done portrayal and wonderful change of pace from ongoing take-off programing like CSI.
Please renew. Great program.
Love this show. Please renew.
