TV show description:
This gritty medical drama revolves around an Emergency Room in Los Angeles where underfunding and understaffing pile huge pressure on its staff. A “code black” is issued when the ER no longer has the manpower, capacity or equipment to operate effectively.
Doctor Leanne Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden) is the ER Residency Director. She’s a brilliant doctor and an experienced professional who often has to resort to her intuition as opposed to standard medical procedures in order to save lives. She reminds her staff that life is measured in split seconds and a moment of hesitation can be the difference between life and death.
On the flip side to Leanne’s risk-taking is Doctor Neal Hudson (Raza Jaffrey) who is constantly at odds with her cavalier attitude.
Leanne’s confidante is Senior Nurse Jesse Salander (Luis Guzman) who’s seen it all at the country’s most notorious ER. His job is to manage the residents. Like the other technicians, doctors and nurses, he is facing a daily battle to save lives under immense pressure.
Mario Savetti (Benjamin Hollingsworth), Christa Lorenson (Bonnie Somerville), Angus Leighton (Harry Ford) and Malaya Pineda (Melanie Chandra) are all first-year residents coming to terms with the harsh realities of their chosen profession.
Episode #47 — Business of Saving Lives
Angels Memorial descends into chaos when a plane crashes into the eighth floor. Also, it is up to Mario to save Noa’s life when she has a car accident. In addition, Willis admits to Rox that he needs her in his life, and the doctors gather in court to support Leanne for her custody hearing.
First aired: July 18. 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Code Black TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for season four on CBS?
Please do not cancel Code Black. Code Black is the only television show I watch on Wednesday night, as there is nothing else on any of the channels worth my time viewing. It is a well written show with an outstanding cast.
Please do not cancel Code Black!
We really enjoy this show–it’s one of the few we try to watch regularly. PLEASE keep it on>
The wrong show to cancel. Story lines and acting is superb.
CBS missing the boat. One of the most enjoyable shows on TV. Bring it back please.
One of the best shows on tv. Hard to believe it will end. Absolutely think it should stay on the air. It has a good cast and great writing.
Please, please, please renew this show. I love it and look forward to watching it each week.
Code Black should be renewed for season 4. Love the story line and characters. One of the best shows on TV. If CBS cancels, then another network should take it over. Has many loyal fans. Shame on you, CBS.
PLEASE renew this show, It’s one of my favorites, characters are interesting, actors are great ,never missed a show. Look forward to it every year. I know a lot of my friends also Love this show.
We would love to see this drama continue. It is one of the few shows we watch during the summer months. We hate to see it cancelled.
This is one of my favorite TV shows. I never miss an episode. PLEASE DO NOT CANCEL THE SHOW!!
I love this show and very sad to see it has been canceled. So much action from very start of each show! Bring it back next season.
I love the show should definately stay,
This is an excellent show, well acted, suspenseful and one of the better medical series.
I have been touched by Code Black since the first episode. This series has developed characters that are so captivating and real and their interaction is interesting. Each year adds new doctors so it is fresh and has a great future. The story lines are believable and so very interesting. The management decisions that the senior doctors make, and the training/counseling they give are meaningful and educational. Please do not cancel Code Black. I know you revived it for Season 3. Please do it again.
