TV show description:
This gritty medical drama revolves around an Emergency Room in Los Angeles where underfunding and understaffing pile huge pressure on its staff. A “code black” is issued when the ER no longer has the manpower, capacity or equipment to operate effectively.
Doctor Leanne Rorish (Marcia Gay Harden) is the ER Residency Director. She’s a brilliant doctor and an experienced professional who often has to resort to her intuition as opposed to standard medical procedures in order to save lives. She reminds her staff that life is measured in split seconds and a moment of hesitation can be the difference between life and death.
On the flip side to Leanne’s risk-taking is Doctor Neal Hudson (Raza Jaffrey) who is constantly at odds with her cavalier attitude.
Leanne’s confidante is Senior Nurse Jesse Salander (Luis Guzman) who’s seen it all at the country’s most notorious ER. His job is to manage the residents. Like the other technicians, doctors and nurses, he is facing a daily battle to save lives under immense pressure.
Mario Savetti (Benjamin Hollingsworth), Christa Lorenson (Bonnie Somerville), Angus Leighton (Harry Ford) and Malaya Pineda (Melanie Chandra) are all first-year residents coming to terms with the harsh realities of their chosen profession.
Episode #47 — Business of Saving Lives
Angels Memorial descends into chaos when a plane crashes into the eighth floor. Also, it is up to Mario to save Noa’s life when she has a car accident. In addition, Willis admits to Rox that he needs her in his life, and the doctors gather in court to support Leanne for her custody hearing.
First aired: July 18. 2018.
What do you think? Do you like the Code Black TV show? Do you think it should have been cancelled or renewed for season four on CBS?
Code Black is an outstanding show. The actors and actresses are top notch !!! I’ve never seen a show where all of the characters were in actual characters !! This show flowed sooo well from the get go. The third season was so creative with the song and dance choreography..unbelievable. Also loved the musical selections and would like to know if a CD has been produced.
Please bring back this superb drama that is more about the patients than the docs. Some really excellent actors on this show! Marcia Gay Harden and Rob Lowe are terrific!
Please do not cancel Code Black. This is a very good medical show. I am a faithful follower.

Love that show!!! Please reconsider!!!
I just watched last episode, so sad to lose such a special show. So many emotional episodes have been heartfelt. I really wish CBS would bring this series back.
I can’t believe you are cancelling this show. The story lines were believable and the acting was great.
Code Black was well written, well acted and intense. Of course, since it was so good it’s got to be cancelled! Instead we are stuck with reality shows and nit wit series. Please renew this series.
Awesome show. This should not be cancelled.
I liked the show!
Why did the cancel Code Black?
Every time the get you hooked on a show they take away and leave junk shows on.
Sorry Code Black is gone!
Code Black is such a good show. It’s a real shame that CBS can’t recognize that. Here comes another mindless show to appeal to who, not me! Is it any wonder that people are turning away from network television.
