TV show description:
In this police drama, Kiera Cameron (Rachel Nichols) is a Protector; a regular cop from Vancouver in the year 2077. Through a series of events, she finds herself trapped in present day — alone and a stranger in a strange land. To make matters worse, there are eight of the most ruthless criminals from the future, known as Liber8, loose in the city.
Thankfully, through the use of her CMR (cellular memory recall — a futuristic liquid chip technology implanted in her brain), Kiera can connect with Alec Sadler (Erik Knudsen), a seventeen-year-old tech genius. Using his prototype 2012 wireless technology, Alec is able to help Kiera track the Liber8 agents and provide her with information to help her operate in our time.
In order to track the terrorists down and keep them from changing the past (and presumably future), Kiera joins the 2012 Vancouver Police Department. Thanks to Alec’s help, she’s able to do this without the necessary credentials. Kiera knows that the eight terrorists will resort to criminal activity to further their goals of taking down the corporations that will one day rule the world.
Partnered up with Detective Carlos Fonnegra (Victor Webster) of the Special Investigations Unit, Kiera positions herself perfectly to hear about Liber8’s activities and to hopefully intervene.
Like Kiera, Carlos is also a cop with a passion for justice. They are from totally opposite ends of the ideological spectrum however. Carlos believes in justice for the individual while Kiera’s 2077 sensibility has brought her to believe in justice for corporations.
Kiera has been brought up and trained to always depend on her technology. She finds that her relationship with Carlos has her learning to listen to her gut for the first time.
Episode #42 — Final Hour
Kiera and Alec risk everything to stop the future soldiers and their devastating plan. Kellog, despite a loose alliance with Kiera, has plans of his own. All factions clash violently in order to determine which path the future will take.
First aired: October 16, 2015.
What do you think? Do you like the Continuum TV series? Do you think it should have ended or been renewed for a fifth season?
Continuum is great drama. It really makes you think. Is Syfy going to make the same mistake as they did with Firefly and Alphas? Hope not.
Yeah, it makes me think too. Like when is Cameron going to take charge of things?
How many time travelers do we have to see before the story becomes logical?
How many times will we go back and forth to the future to really confuse us more?.
It is a good show, but needs to slow down some
I Love this show!!! Please I hope the do not cancel it! It;s a very good drama that really keep me waiting for more in every season gets better.
I like the show. please don’t cancel it.
Great show…Glad it is not on major network (ABC, NBC, CBS) would have been canceled after first season. I am not going to get involved in shows on major networks anymore they are never given a chance and we (the viewer) are just left hanging. Renew!! Renew!! Syfy you have guts to have a show like this. Lame networks only have reality shows. This one makes you think…Thank you!!!
This is a great show. It is very thought provoking and very possible. The acting and the writing are top notch. I agree that the general TV audience has been “dumbed down”. This like the show “Revolution” (NBC – cancelled) is a show that makes you think. Please let this show continue at least two more seasons.
Continuum: had too many Alecs and Kieras walking around, too many future time periods in play. Too many future Time Travelers.
The music is so loud at times no one can hear the dialogue. After the finale we see we are in another time period and it doesn’t look good for Kiera. I am thinking this may go the way of the defunct Tek Wars. Getting too ridiculous now. The writers need to pay more attention to the audience or they will lose them.
Continuum deserves a a Season 4 renewal – it has evolved to a great sci fI crime & political drama. The Halo arc was trending considering the wearsables tech & expected iWatch with health monitoring. Cast performs well and Rachel plays her role fantastic.
This is such a good show, my favorite. Come on Showcase and SyFy we are waiting the renewal news!
I have been watching the show since it began and I truly enjoy it now. I hope the show continues as it has found it’s footing and has now become quite interesting. I am a life long SciFi enthusiast and have seen many good shows come and go but I hope the producers have the insight to continue.
After watching the season…series?…finale….All I can say is, it would be criminal if they don’t…at the least…give us a 2 hour wrap-up. Given the track record of the low I.Q. morons in charge of programming, I have serious doubts.
refreshing new fledgling sy-fy show.shoulds be re-newed for season 4 to see where it goes,it`s endgame.
Please do not cancel this show…. I love it
Please don’t cancel continuum. I’m really in to it. They always cancel the shows I like. I know my friends and I will be so disappointed
Renewed for sure. Have watched from beginning. Please dint cancel
My husband & I love the show! We’ve been watching since season 1 and have never missed an episode. It reminds me of how I felt about the TV show Lost – how it just kept getting more and more mysterious & complicated, but very well written, so it is easy to follow. Continuum is a new obsession of ours, so please please renew the series!
