As you may recall, NBC aired the first season of Crossing Lines a couple summers ago. It didn’t perform well enough in the ratings and the network opted not to pick up the second season. Crossing Lines has been a success in the international market however and Netflix recently started streaming season two for US audiences.
Deadline now reports that a third season of 12 episodes has been ordered with Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost, Revolution) and Goran Visnjic (ER) joining the cast. They’ll join Donald Sutherland as leads, replacing William Fichtner.
The X-Files’ Frank Spotnitz is joining the show as an executive producer alongside Tandem’s Rola Bauer. Crossing Lines creator and executive producer Ed Bernero departed after Season two to be close to his family in California.
The series shoots in Europe and filming will be getting underway next week in Prague. It’s not known when season three will be available here in the States, via Netflix or some other outlet.
What do you think? Do you like the Crossing Lines TV show? Have you seen the second season? Would you pay to watch the third season?
I thoroughly enjoyed the first two seasons and would love to see more. I hope Netflix picks up season 3 before next year. Too bad they had to decimate the cast for season 3. There were some characters that were becoming well developed and well liked, now we will have to start over with an almost new cast. The writers (and/or producers) seem to like to go through cast members fairly quickly though. The pilot drew me in and I burned through seasons 1&2 in about a week. that is unusual for me.
. . . to grab IT. Not “is.” Sorry.
I also binge-watched, in a week, all episodes, both seasons. Hated losing Eva and Louis, but love everything about the series. Wish there would be endless seasons and will pay to watch. Cannot wait for netwflix to grab is. Wonderful, exciting and delicious to watch. HURRY UP WITH THE THIRD SEASON. Having withdrawal.
I loved Crossing Lines. The suspense, the wit and the action was well done. Love all of the characters, they all played their parts so very well. Some people will tear down any actor, I don’t care who they are. That being said, I am my own judge and I enjoyed all of these actors and every episode they completed. I hope there is a season 3 on Netflix!
I will miss Fichtner if it continues on without him but I think it will still be a great show. If NBC won’t air it, I hope season 3 will be on Netflix.
I love the series and I would pay to see season 3
Same here
Excellent show
At last, a crime drama series with sofistication, excitement and an European setting; story lines that keeps you on the edge of your seat. I just finished binge-watching both seasons of Crossing Lines on Netflix and I need more. I am not thrilled that three of the main characters are gone but the whole concept of the show is great. Hope Netflix gets it.
Started watching on Netflix this week. Really like it. Will enjoy watching season 3 if on Netflix.
Great show. Can’t wait for the third season.
Crossing LInes — I loved the first two seasons, with the exception of killing off Louis (Marc Lavoine) in the the Season 2 finale. People are emotionally invested in the characters of a TV series, so killing off main characters, in my humble opinion, is suicidal for the series. And now William Fichtner is leaving! No, I will not be watching Season 3 or beyond.
At the top of really good shows to watch and enjoy. But Fichtner must return!
I loved the show!! Loved the characters, loved the story lines and loved it being filmed in Europe!!! I would pay to see it! And would even go back and watch past episodes. I’m sure I would see things I missed!! Gotta have more seasons!!! Please!
Please NBC air Crossing Lines on the NBC tv channel. It is the best show ever. I just love it.
Need at least one more season. Please…
