As you may recall, NBC aired the first season of Crossing Lines a couple summers ago. It didn’t perform well enough in the ratings and the network opted not to pick up the second season. Crossing Lines has been a success in the international market however and Netflix recently started streaming season two for US audiences.
Deadline now reports that a third season of 12 episodes has been ordered with Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost, Revolution) and Goran Visnjic (ER) joining the cast. They’ll join Donald Sutherland as leads, replacing William Fichtner.
The X-Files’ Frank Spotnitz is joining the show as an executive producer alongside Tandem’s Rola Bauer. Crossing Lines creator and executive producer Ed Bernero departed after Season two to be close to his family in California.
The series shoots in Europe and filming will be getting underway next week in Prague. It’s not known when season three will be available here in the States, via Netflix or some other outlet.
What do you think? Do you like the Crossing Lines TV show? Have you seen the second season? Would you pay to watch the third season?
My husband and I just loved the first two seasons. Great job Netflix. However, we find all the deaths in the show rather “dark” and now Hickman is gone? Not worth paying for it without him. He’s a gem.
I enjoyed the series and would like to get a third season. I would pay for it. I agree with some of the comments that shooting Louis, not shooting Hickman and Hickman yelling to Dr. Clarke to call an ambulance was not logical. I am disappointed that the characters are getting killed off, just as we get to know them. I know that this is more realistic, especially as everyone seems to be gunning (literally and figuratively) them down. But can we have them for a bit longer.
this is one of the best shows i have seen next to blacklist.the hole cast is amazing..
5 stars people.there need to be more shows like this.to bad the average US audience does not appreciate this type of show
I just loved Crossing lines and was sad when season 2 was over. I hope to get a chance to see season 3., but I did not like how season 2 ended.
I agree 100percent
I love Crossing Lines, as it is out of the norm for American television. It is fresh and exciting, after being force-Fed CSI after CSI. I hope Netflix picks this up, it’s bad enough we lost two great characters at the end of season 2!
I’m going to wait on Season 3 patiently because I have waited this long, regardless of the weak ending of Season 2. When NBC cancelled it I thought it was over it. Thank goodness for Netflix for picking the series up.
I very much enjoy the two seasons and would love to see a third season here in the states. I hope Netflix picks it back up. I think as usual, NBC Is always narrow sighted when it comes to good shows made aboard.
Yes,liked
I just discovered “Crossing Lines” on Netflix and have watched both seasons. Loved it! I would not pay to watch the 3rd season but would watch on NBC or wherever it might end up. Linda
I have been waiting for this show for the longest it cannot end this way. Please hurry with season 3 please PEOPLE!!!!
Yes, I like it and would pay to see it.
Netflix is your friend if you want to continue to watch
Both my husband and I have enjoyed watching both season 1 and 2. Looking forward to season 3. Disappointed for those that have left the show.
i loved crossing lines, hope they get the third season soon, yes i would pay for it,
The ending of season 2 just made me mad and it truly made no sense.
Although I generally like the show, I thought the ending of Season 2 was weak(i.e, if Hickman was the link to taking down Dr. Clarke, why wasn’t he killed? And why would Hickman yell to the doctor to call an ambulance after she shot Louis with obvious intent to kill??)
I agree with you. Weak ending but would love to watch season 3.
