As you may recall, NBC aired the first season of Crossing Lines a couple summers ago. It didn’t perform well enough in the ratings and the network opted not to pick up the second season. Crossing Lines has been a success in the international market however and Netflix recently started streaming season two for US audiences.
Deadline now reports that a third season of 12 episodes has been ordered with Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost, Revolution) and Goran Visnjic (ER) joining the cast. They’ll join Donald Sutherland as leads, replacing William Fichtner.
The X-Files’ Frank Spotnitz is joining the show as an executive producer alongside Tandem’s Rola Bauer. Crossing Lines creator and executive producer Ed Bernero departed after Season two to be close to his family in California.
The series shoots in Europe and filming will be getting underway next week in Prague. It’s not known when season three will be available here in the States, via Netflix or some other outlet.
What do you think? Do you like the Crossing Lines TV show? Have you seen the second season? Would you pay to watch the third season?
I loved the first two seasons and would happily pay for a third, but not if William Fichtner is leaving. He’s the main reason I started watching.
YES love this series
I am eagerly awaiting Season 3 but a little confused. They only say William Fitchner is leaving the show so perhaps Louie will survive. I am worried about the return of Richard Flood who plays Tommy McConnell because he is star of a new show on TV3 which I don’t get and it’s called Red Rock. In real life he and Eva are getting married in June and just had a baby together. So I guess it’s a wait and see who comes back but with these writers I am sure it will be good.
Just read that ‘Tommy’ and ‘Eva’ are getting married and have a baby. Congratulations to both of you. Please don’t leave Crossing Lines. Would really miss both of you!!
Absolutely love this show. Cast is great…wish Fitchner was not being replaced. Can’t wait for season three.
I watched season 2 on Netflix in about 3 days and I am already anxious for Season 3. Do I love it? Absolutely. Would I pay to see it? Absolutely. I am an American and I don’t understand the fickle American audience that cannot get into a show that has this kind of intrigue and depth and on the edge of your seat entertainment with great stars, but since it isn’t full of American big names they don’t want to watch it. My answer to that is perhaps you should just turn to a cartoon channel and watch something else… Read more »
We love this show! Please allow us to be able to watch it!! We will pay of we have to! Love, love, love it!
Watched the first season and loved it. Thought the international were great. Glad to find out we can stream it on Netflix.
I was so sick of the drivel on television that I stopped watching television four and one-half years ago. It was, however, recently recommended that I watch Crossing Lines. I expected the same type of programming that was predictable, brash and boring. Wow! We were so wrong. My husband and I have been eagerly watching 3 to 4 episodes each evening, viewing each Netflix production from start to finish and because there was no introduction to another session this evening, I learned through the internet that the program is over! No! We finally had something that involved major nations and… Read more »
My wife and I love this show; hopefully we’ll be able to watch here in the states…yes we would pay to see…still can’t believe Louis is gone.
Just started watching season 1 on Netflix and love it!! I really like the international element. Hoping Netflix picks up Season 3!
This is truly a great show! The writing is superb! The ac;ting is excellent and the content is outstanding. Plus the settings all take place in Europe allowing the audience the opportunity to see beautiful landscapes and architecture that puts the Travel Channel to shame. I enjoyed the amalgamation of talent, creativity, mystery, and intrigue. Please allow this show to continue indefinitely.
Yes please!!!!!!
love the show
Absolutely love the show! I watched season 2 in a weekend
I absolutely enjoy the show. Having lived in Europe for seven years and visited most countries covered in the show, courtessy of uncle sam, it takes my mind to happy places. The plot is incredible and keeps tou on your toes. The only sad thing is the way the main characters are being disposed off. Once i get used to certain characters it is hard to see them go, ive experienced that once the original castbegins ti change the shows dontlast much longer. I hope thats not the case with crossing lines.
Heck ya especially they way they ended season 2…What to Louis? what happened to EVA? don’t leave us hanging like that guys. By far the best crime show ever produced. Intrigue intrigue intrigue I almost watched the whole 2 seasons in one week. Please gentleman and Ladies if yu wouldn’t mind coming out with seasn three and at least allow Netfix to air it I would greatly appreciate it.
