As you may recall, NBC aired the first season of Crossing Lines a couple summers ago. It didn’t perform well enough in the ratings and the network opted not to pick up the second season. Crossing Lines has been a success in the international market however and Netflix recently started streaming season two for US audiences.
Deadline now reports that a third season of 12 episodes has been ordered with Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost, Revolution) and Goran Visnjic (ER) joining the cast. They’ll join Donald Sutherland as leads, replacing William Fichtner.
The X-Files’ Frank Spotnitz is joining the show as an executive producer alongside Tandem’s Rola Bauer. Crossing Lines creator and executive producer Ed Bernero departed after Season two to be close to his family in California.
The series shoots in Europe and filming will be getting underway next week in Prague. It’s not known when season three will be available here in the States, via Netflix or some other outlet.
What do you think? Do you like the Crossing Lines TV show? Have you seen the second season? Would you pay to watch the third season?
Please keep this wonderful intelligent show. There is enough fluff on the airwaves. Please keep a few things worth watching.
Fitchner and Eva? They made the show I’m disappointed they’re gone. I recommend the show to everyone.
I love this show …….***** I do hope there are more seasons coming to Netflex.
Please don’t stop airing this show.
Nee, Canada!
I love this show. I just finished watching season 3 on Netflix. I sure hope there are going to be more seasons. The show just works so well. Thank you and please continue airing this program.
I am so disappointed that “Crossing Lines” first few episodes made no mention of Italian agent Eva’s disappearance in Spain at the end of last season’s programming. It is as if she had never existed.
I am so disappointed that Crossing Lines makes no mention of the lovely Italian agent Eva, who disappeared in Spain at last season’s final program. No mention is made of her at all.
I am very interested in what happened to Eva. She is such a beautiful young lady and also a wonderful actress. Her character is such a major part of the series.
I really enjoyed the first two seasons and was happy when season 3 was added by Netflix, but why are so many cast members killed off or they disappear without explanation? I will really miss Hickman and some of the other main characters and would LOVE explanations of what happened them.
I love the series. I too would love explanations on what happened to the disappearing characters.
I throughly enjoyed “Crossing Lines” I have followed it from the beginning and am now watching season three on Netflix. I just dont understand why they had to kill off so many characters ..I sincerely hope to watch season 4 ,5 on so on.
I agree with one of the comments ! The scenery alone and going back and forth between countries is awesome !!! I enjoy the new cast of characters in season 3 but would love to see William Finchter back again and Kim Coats ( Sons of Anarchy actor ) – Crossing Lines is a brilliant series !!!!
I real enjoy this show . It’s just that all that’s on tv now is reality shows so sad when that’s entertainment
I was REALLY looking forward to season 3. Well, after 6 episodes of season 3, I’m done. Now that they’ve resorted and stooped low to include frequent F-Bombs and obscene speech. Did the cast or writing get so weak that this tactic was deemed necessary?
No, I’m not a prude. The fact is that strong, quality writing makes this approach unnecessary with this subject matter and premise. I would think the cast was strong enough not to need it.
The first two seasons were awesome without it, so what changed?
Sad really, too bad.
Love this show! Found it on Netflix. I cut the cable 2 yrs ago. So Roku is my tv viewing choice. With Netflix and hulu streaming.
Loved the show. Great format. But! without Fitchner the show won’t be the same. I will not watch it for free, let alone pay!
Crossing Lines is one of the best shows available.
I enjoyed seasons one and two..IM in the middle of season 3 and I would love more seasons of this. I like the whole euro vibe…the scenery and the use of guns as last resort. A very cool show with a balanced cast of women and men managing to stay out of each others pants. How refreshing.
