As you may recall, NBC aired the first season of Crossing Lines a couple summers ago. It didn’t perform well enough in the ratings and the network opted not to pick up the second season. Crossing Lines has been a success in the international market however and Netflix recently started streaming season two for US audiences.
Deadline now reports that a third season of 12 episodes has been ordered with Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost, Revolution) and Goran Visnjic (ER) joining the cast. They’ll join Donald Sutherland as leads, replacing William Fichtner.
The X-Files’ Frank Spotnitz is joining the show as an executive producer alongside Tandem’s Rola Bauer. Crossing Lines creator and executive producer Ed Bernero departed after Season two to be close to his family in California.
The series shoots in Europe and filming will be getting underway next week in Prague. It’s not known when season three will be available here in the States, via Netflix or some other outlet.
What do you think? Do you like the Crossing Lines TV show? Have you seen the second season? Would you pay to watch the third season?
This is an exceptional series The best writing of late has come out of Britain but this show is the exception. Loved the original cast and was fearful they would be unable to keep going.. Congratulations you did it!!!
Great Show first 2 seasons a little letdown in 3, but players need time to develop, maybe. a show this good couldn’t last. tooo may dumb ass shows out there. People just can’t handle a show that makes them feel and think. all they want to do is laugh and mock others.
loved season three, as usual the big three don’t knows a good series when it strikes them. no longer watch them. hope there is a season four.
I was so disappointed with season 3. I really liked the cast of the first 2 seasons and I liked the older, rustic office. Not too keen on the new digs or the new cast….not sure I’ll watch it much longer…
I was browsing through Netflix and found this interesting. I recognized Donald Sutherland on the cover so I decided to watch it. I’m hooked. Its too bad that networks drop the best shows. This show is awesome. Season 3 was disappointing only because the original team was not included but I love it, The team in Team 3 is different and i like it. Its a great show overall.
I was browsing Netflix and got hooked quickly on Season 1. Loved Season 2. Season 3 was a huge letdown. Too many loose ends from the last episode of S-2! Where did everyone go? I’ve watched a few episodes but I’m not warming up to Season 3.
me too
What a huge disappointment! The predicable story lines…the lack of attention to detail(such as how could any law officer call a 45 automatic a “revolver”…and when interrogating a suspect the door to the room doesn’t even latch). Me thinks Sutherland really needs the money.

On top of that now throwing in “F” bombs. What’s next nudity?
I loved season one!! For those of us that don’t have Netflix, please make season 2 & 3 to the rest of us!
Love the show. Hope there will be a season 4. Maybe bring some of the original team back as guests?
I love Crossing Lines. I miss the French Accent of the officer who got killed. I love Sutherland. I do not miss the crippled American. I would very much like to see a season 4 on Netflix.
Just found season 3 on Netflix and will be binge watching it…love the characters and the show,so glad that it’s back!
Above average tv series! Goes well beyond USA tv shows. Much more believable. Superb acting & screenplays. Has some holes, but having major characters dying is more like real life! It’s a shocker to the audience however. That’s why some people are angry! But it makes for more believable plot lines. Bravo!
Are you kidding me with the lack of closure for the previous characters?! I watched the first episode of season 3 and cannot believe the only information we got about these characters is a 20 second explanation by Arabela saying they simply “went home”! How can they do this to their viewers?
I love this series, but I am very disappointed with the lack of explanation in regards to the missing characters. They played a huge part in making the show so why is there not a reasonable explanation?
Just found this show on Netflix, I used to really like it with the original team. Do not like how they just disappeared, especially Eva!!! Was glad to see Sebastian, just finishing the first episode of season 3, where is Tommy?? Unsure if I will continue to watch or not…
Signed, a very unhappy viewer
