As you may recall, NBC aired the first season of Crossing Lines a couple summers ago. It didn’t perform well enough in the ratings and the network opted not to pick up the second season. Crossing Lines has been a success in the international market however and Netflix recently started streaming season two for US audiences.
Deadline now reports that a third season of 12 episodes has been ordered with Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost, Revolution) and Goran Visnjic (ER) joining the cast. They’ll join Donald Sutherland as leads, replacing William Fichtner.
The X-Files’ Frank Spotnitz is joining the show as an executive producer alongside Tandem’s Rola Bauer. Crossing Lines creator and executive producer Ed Bernero departed after Season two to be close to his family in California.
The series shoots in Europe and filming will be getting underway next week in Prague. It’s not known when season three will be available here in the States, via Netflix or some other outlet.
What do you think? Do you like the Crossing Lines TV show? Have you seen the second season? Would you pay to watch the third season?
My sister and I have been watching seasons 1&2 on Netflix. We became intensely interested in the characters and couldn’t stop watching. We especially love Major Daniel and Carl. THEN, the season 2 finale!!!!!! Our darling Major Daniel killed! To make matters worse, season 3 starts to a whole different show, with only three of the cast members and a different setting. I feel like I have television PTSD. We watched the first show of season 3 and just wanted to find out what really happened to Ava–where is Tommy? I’m sure the new show will be fine, (I loved… Read more »
Really enjoyed season 1 & 2 of this show. A few minor glitches caused by an effort to placate the US market but you dig gold where there is the most gold.
My comment concerns follow up shows (in this case season 3) and who/how/why casting seems to be so poorly done.
Please watch the first two seasons and you be the judge on whether season 3 is a compliment to the series.
Sometimes one feels justified in suspecting ulterior motives for parsing out parts.
Absolutely PHENOMENALLY GOOD ..WHERE CAN IS WATCH SEASOn 3?
Great show. I really like it. Hopefully it will continue.
Love the first two seasons and the actors. Have just started watching Season 3 and I miss the actors from the first two seasons.
Where can one find season 3 to watch?
looking at season two. really looking forward to season three
Season 3 is a major disappointment They took in my opinion one of the best TV series and turned it into one of the worst. Most of the main characters are gone. A lot of unnecessary language, and very distasteful scenes not in the first 2 seasons. Loved the first two seasons.
I’ve seen the third season, hoping for a fourth. Any news on when or if it will be made?
Where did you watch the third season?
jI am watching season 3 on Netflix. Not enjoying it. Sebastian and the head guy are the only people left from the first two seasons. This cast doesn’t have the chemistry of the others and it is so disappointing all the others are gone.
Just watched the pilot and am pleased that I will have at least 3 seasons to watch.
Just discovered the show and I love it. I’m not really crazy about the continued change in cast but the plots are excellent.
I love this show, but truly miss the original cast members and am disappointed with Eva’s ending (assume dead), particularly when the story of her search for her ghostly father died with her. I am watching the third season, and almost done. Still want more. Not especially fond of Elizabeth Mitchell’s as leader. She doesn’t come across very strong. Miss Hickman!!
I agree, very disappointed in the all new cast
Great Show! Loved the first 2 Seasons, yet sad to see some of the cast depart. Still viewed Season 3, but just not the same.
Great show! So glad I found it again!
Love the show . Hope they make more. Watching on Netflix.
Great show! Loved seasons 1 and 2. Please comtinue the show bit bring back Tommy and Hickman!!!! And for goodness sakes wrap up thr Eva storylinr! The dialogues and interaction bewteen the characters on season 1 and 2 were more intelligent.
I only recently discovered this series and a saddened to learn of it’s termination. As seems often to be the case, shows that require the audience to examine their viewpoints and consider multiple planes of an issue, and to lIsten to sophisticated dialog, do not fare well in the US. How sad. Very good work, everyone. Thank you for challenging the audience while simultaneously entertaining!
