As you may recall, NBC aired the first season of Crossing Lines a couple summers ago. It didn’t perform well enough in the ratings and the network opted not to pick up the second season. Crossing Lines has been a success in the international market however and Netflix recently started streaming season two for US audiences.
Deadline now reports that a third season of 12 episodes has been ordered with Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost, Revolution) and Goran Visnjic (ER) joining the cast. They’ll join Donald Sutherland as leads, replacing William Fichtner.
The X-Files’ Frank Spotnitz is joining the show as an executive producer alongside Tandem’s Rola Bauer. Crossing Lines creator and executive producer Ed Bernero departed after Season two to be close to his family in California.
The series shoots in Europe and filming will be getting underway next week in Prague. It’s not known when season three will be available here in the States, via Netflix or some other outlet.
What do you think? Do you like the Crossing Lines TV show? Have you seen the second season? Would you pay to watch the third season?
we vote “yes” season 3 please! And 4,5,6 etc!!
Fantastic series a slow burner(shame on you NBC) very dynamic in the shows ability to introduce actors of substance , another show able to replace main characters with shock and awe. Hope the producers stay the course in season 3 , loved seeing lots of Europe hope that continues too. Netflix loving it !!!
why did william fichtner leave CL?… i finished watching seasson 2 and i was like waw wtf man. i need to watch seasson 3 …. i look it up and first thing i see is william taking off….
Love it . Look forward to Season 3. Bob
It’s a safe bet that when Elizabeth Mitchell shows up as a cast member, the show is doomed. The poor woman was a harbinger of bad news for ER, V, and Revolution. The characters she plays tend to be one-note. Same with Goran Visnjic who was with her on ER and was on Red Widow, Pan Am and Extant. I hate to have an already floundering series have that last nail hammered into its coffin. It’s a great show with fantastic scenery and characters you really care about. It will be a shame if they cancel it.
Just finished watching sn 2 crossing lines..So hooked up on it but I dont like the way they are killing characters. I love Marc Lavoine and I cant imagine CL without him
I really enjoyed season 1, stories seemed to have a different slant; but in season 2, you had a number of episodes that dealt with scenarios used in other crime drama series, and a lot of “art imitating life” with no new angles. There’s a lot of talking and arguing among the team and Dorn sitting around in meeting and dinners and then, miraculously crooks are caught by flashing police cars. It just seems a lot of action is cut out and too many passive scenes left in. I like that leads are repeatedly bumped off so one does not… Read more »
i live in mexico so was only able to catch the 1st 2 seasons on netflix.loved the entire series.will watch the 3rd season as soon as it’s available.i fell in love with all the characters and the beautiful backdrops.everything about the show is top quality.thank-you so much..
I love the show. I am hoping that Netflix, at least, will pick up the 3rd season. Will they???
Where can I watch the new episodes of season three. I love the show.
No, no, no, two more characters leave? No, no,no. This show is so comfortable killing off characters so those that remain must be good at their job to stay for they might not last the season, given the first great character was killed in the first season. Please stream all up-coming seasons, this is an original series with fantastic backdrops of places I wish I could know more about. Bring it back, I will watch, I promise.
I got hooked on season one by my brother and within a weekend my whole family had watched every episode. The acting is first class and the plot is great and original. It is Italian Job quality.
I would like to see season 3
fantastic & intellegent!
Like Crossing lines. Keeper!
I’m looking forward to season 3 and 4!
