As you may recall, NBC aired the first season of Crossing Lines a couple summers ago. It didn’t perform well enough in the ratings and the network opted not to pick up the second season. Crossing Lines has been a success in the international market however and Netflix recently started streaming season two for US audiences.
Deadline now reports that a third season of 12 episodes has been ordered with Elizabeth Mitchell (Lost, Revolution) and Goran Visnjic (ER) joining the cast. They’ll join Donald Sutherland as leads, replacing William Fichtner.
The X-Files’ Frank Spotnitz is joining the show as an executive producer alongside Tandem’s Rola Bauer. Crossing Lines creator and executive producer Ed Bernero departed after Season two to be close to his family in California.
The series shoots in Europe and filming will be getting underway next week in Prague. It’s not known when season three will be available here in the States, via Netflix or some other outlet.
What do you think? Do you like the Crossing Lines TV show? Have you seen the second season? Would you pay to watch the third season?
Love this series!! Sorry to hear William Fiichtner won’t be back for Season 3. Why? I do hope Netflix will be able to get Season 3 when it becomes available. Not sure, though, if it will be as good with without Fichtner.
I love this show I had never of heard of this until Netflix recommended it to me. Why would NBC cancell sucha well put together show. The Networks have gotten so caught up in these dumb reality shows and nobody lives in those realities. I have yet to see one of the housewives pick a kid up from school or go to the grocery store or anything else that a house would do. Netflix keep up the good work it is the best 8.00 that I spend a month.
I like “Crossing Lines” nor do I know either, why it didnt do well in USA?These Producers are making tons of money from reality TV but it doesnt bold well to our apptitude levels since we’re eating up these crap programs. Thank God for Netflix!
I don’t understand NBC anymore either Cheryl. I live reality every day. When I watch my television I want to be entertained and leave reality behind for a few hours. These networks don’t get it at all anymore. Maybe if everyone watched Netflix for a week and ignored the big stations they would take notice of us?
Loved the show. Cant wait for season three. The cast are awesome. The last show was left on a cliff hanger…so hurry air it lol…so hurry up and air it..lol… I’m dying to find out what happens next….bring it on
I wholly agree with Jeff. My go to for good TV is Netflix thy seem to get it unlike the big networks. If it is not se stupid realit(lets true to one another) that i not reality because no one lives this way in the real world. I can’t wait for season 3 why would NBC have canceled this show????????????
YES!!!!
This is an incredible show and I can’t wait to see Season 3. I really hope Netflix shows it. This is why we love Netflix. So many options we have nowhere else. This show is simply outstanding.
I really enjoy the show and look forward to a 3rd season.
It is hard to stop watching on Netflex – great show with characters that play well off of each other, and story lines that keep your interest. Glad there will be a third season with hopes of many more to come!
Tremendous show !!! Watched both seasons in less than 2 weeks. Straight through…no sleep. Now I’m exhausted but can’t wait for the next season !!!!
Best show ever can wait for season 3 and beyond.
Love love this show!glad to hear it’s coming back!! I hope they continue the show. Sorry to hear William Fichtner will not be returning love him and his character.
I found this show through Netflix and loved both seasons. I truly hope Netflix will air the upcoming 3rd season when available!
Crossing Lines has been a real good show to watch. I have gotten so fed up with reality TV that Netflix has become my venue of choice. This is a really good show with a great chemistry among the players. I hope to see season three even though I will miss William Fichtner if they replace him. His is such a good character and his portrayal so believable.
Another example of USA dumbing down! Excellent show as is with excellent cast!
This is why I love Netflix so much The Networks don’t get it they cancel the good shows and keep the stupid reality TV I love Crossing Lines and I cannot wait for season three I watched season two in a couple of days Keep up the good work Netflix
I have just watched the first two seasons of Crossing Lines and loved it. We had to limit ourselves to two episodes a night, otherwise we would have been up all night!
